Senator says she's surprised by Bush agenda
The Associated Press
Web Posted : 12/05/2003 4:17 PM
New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, in Texas for a book signing and to raise money for her campaign war chest, said Friday that President Bush won her husband's old job by running a campaign that masked his true leanings.
"We've made a hard right turn to pursue an extremist agenda that was certainly not advertised by the campaign President Bush ran," the former first lady said in an interview with the Austin American-Statesman before her book-signing.
"There's very little compassion," she said of Bush's much-touted compassionate conservatism. "There's even very little conservatism because a true conservative would not have put us into a half-trillion dollar current account deficit."
Clinton said she will not be entering the 2004 presidential race.
She said the Bush administration has tried "to undo everything the Clinton administration had done, and I took that kind of personally."
"Just on every front it became clear to me they wanted to undo the New Deal. It wasn't just the Clinton administration," she said.
Clinton attended a Thursday evening fund-raising event in Austin at the home of local advertising executive Roy Spence, who said about $100,000 was collected for Clinton's political account.
At Book People on Friday, hundreds of people lined up to get signed copies of her book, "Living History."

Instead I'll just say that Gore ran his whole campaign against Bush's extremist agenda and it didn't gain him the White House either.

Okay, Dorothy, you can drop that house whenever you're ready. Heaven knows we're ready!

This woman is more screwed up than her HINO. First she said his campaign masked his true leanings. OK, I'll go along with that. Then he's persuing an extremist agenda. I thought at that point that she was going to say he ran as a conservative but now he's doing more liberal stuff. But then she hit him with his excessive spending. Which she should like. Then he's undoing her HINO's agenda. Then the New Deal.
This woman is just screwed up. And I mean that with a CAPITAL F.

I believe the answer to the question is "yes".

"I really wish hitlery would shut up and crawl back under that rock she slithered out from under. What a b*#ch!"
Though your "female dog" description of her has some validity, there is enough ammo on the " " to post a 10,000 page manifesto. I believe it serves us poorly to call names when so much more is available to us and we are better than they are. The truth is on our side.

I think not.

I notice the reporter couldn't be bothered to provide an exact quote... Yes, what she probably said had a little more wiggle room in it.
I know, thinking of "Wiggle" and Hillary! at the same time is disgusting.

Absolutely the worst First Lady in American history. I never thought I'd see the day in which a First Lady of the president runs for and is elected to a federal office and engages in left-wing demogaugery.

Al Gore was born 9 months after the Roswell crash. Coincidence?

No one who doesn't already think she's a bitch is going to be convinced by our calling her a bitch. But since you mentioned it, are there any good books on the saga of Hillary Clinton? I know there's Barbara Olson's Hell to Pay, but that's a few years old now.

I just call them as I see them and the "B" word was really too kind! I hope you've chastised others on this site as well because I'm not the only one engaged in name calling!
