Nationwide Freep! MoveOn.org House Parties with Propaganda Videos THIS WEEKEND!
MoveOn.org | 5 December 2003 | MoveOn.org

Posted on 12/05/2003 11:45:37 AM PST by RightOnTheLeftCoast

As you probably have discerned, the lovelies at MoveOn.org have moved-on from their original charter of mewling about "vicious right-wing extremist attacks on President Clinton's personal sex life" to adopt a particularly strident blend of anti-America-ism, hate-Bush-ism, and appeasment of terrorists.

Well. Now through the magic of the Web they have arranged almost 3,000 "house parties" this Sunday at which a propaganda video, "Uncovered: The Whole Truth About the Iraq War" will be shown. You too can sign up to attend or host a house party at http://action.moveon.org/meet/parties.html.

I checked and there are four such parties within ten miles of my suburban home, including one at the local Quaker meeting house. The blurb for one at a home about a mile from me states:

"Please join us for an evening of viewing "Uncovered - the whole truth behind the Iraqi War", discussion and evaluation of the lies that we have been fed over the last year by the Bush administration. Follow-up actions and activities to spread the word will be discussed. Please bring some food/drinks to share with other attendees and meet your "Move-On" neighbors. Please come later, if you cannot make the first screening of the film and the conference call scheduled at 5.30. The party will last till 8 pm at least! NOTE: This is an activist household - Dean for President in 2004 - but feel free to bring any other literature or buttons/bumper stickers you may want to share with others - we have a big tent!"

Clearly these people need a good Freeping.

Contact your local state senator and complain.

I did that back when these groups were meeting in Unitarian "church" basements to conspire about the Anti-war resolutions they were pushing. I received (and I wish I saved it) a snail mail letter from my State Senator saying this was the perrogative of your local DA to pursue. Sound right?

Andy:

I am in Orygon - People's Republic of.

But I actually set that "meeting" up myself. The one about Palestine, at least.

As to crashing these boors, sorry I have better things to do this Christams season.

Saving my Freep Energy for the next attept of Rats to steal presidential votes here. And on that count, we need to watch Secretary of State's office. A guy by the name of Paddy O'Grady, to be precise. He's a big Clinton/Gore nazi. And he is in charge of the kind of stuff we saw in the last election (2000).

Best wishes for the season, Andy.

There are several ways to play this. Go to the link and:

1. Create a Party with a Pro-Bush name (ie: "Annoy MoveOn- Vote Bush")

2. Create a Party that appears to be Anti-Bush at a fake address. Have leftists in the area sign up for it and try to show up to a fake address and waste their time.

I'm going to do both.

I'd think it would be the job of the IRS to investigate since they arbitrate what determines a 501c3 charity.

I'd recommend that you focus your efforts to use the law and orthers in these organizations against these useful idiots.

The admins don't look highly upon website "conflicts". We've got instances of 501c3 charities violating IRS codes. We've got partisan PAC activity at state funded schools.

There is always someone to appeal to and bring pressure to bear. Or you can be more confrontational as I say and take them on the notion that this is a "non-partisan" debate. Debate the other side of the issue. Reveal just who MoveOn.org is and the role they played in the Clinton impeachment (never did get the "censure" they asked for, did they?).

Instruct those attending the meeting just who they are dealing with.

The silent majority needs to beat back the natering nabobs of negativity.

"The silent majority needs to beat back the natering nabobs of negativity."

As a longtime member of the silent majority....I'm tired of being silent.

They must have fungus growing around their hot-tub.

After setting one of these up, and now re-visiting, I note that there are 3 people signed up to attend.

And knowing this site is being Freeped Big-Time, what a joke it will be to see the MoveOn press release saying "hundred's of thousands, or more" attended these tin-foil hat tea parties.

You gotta love it!

Just look at the people in moveon.org. They aren't exactly pillars of society and I don't think having money alone means you are a pillar of society.

Checking events within 50 miles of my home, I found 50 entries - 40 of them in DC or its suburbs.

One venue in Baltimore is a Retirement Community and the host must have forgotten that he had signed up, and signed up 2 more times.

There are only 6 sites in Baltimore and its suburbs plus an event at John Hopkins University.

I would not call this a dramatic response to Moveon's call.

None in my area. Thank God I live in a hard-working, God-fearing community.

But, my sister lives in Burlington, VT. Looks like about 6 there.

I have a better idea. Why not have Freeper House Parties? I'll bet there would be far more participants!

That church is jeopardizing their 501c3 non-profit status by hosting this PAC's event.

I'm afraid that inforcement for this is limited to the dangerous clergymen who take a pro-life stance on the abortion issue. (clearly a political not church issue) (sarcasm)

Yes. I can just picture these same lefties-forbearers trying to bludgeon the abolitionist movement (which was largely centered in churches) with the 501(c)(3) club if there had been income taxes before the Civil War.
