Not to change the subject, but, I'm kind of changing the subject....thought you'd be interested in this...as it does relate to murders by the Islamofascists:

"We have bred monsters. (By Dr. Muhammad Talal Al-Rasheed). We alone are responsible for it. I have written as much before my personal tragedy and will continue to do so for as long as it takes. We are the problem and not America or the penguins of the North Pole or those who live in caves in Afghanistan. We are it, and those who cannot see this are the ones to blame. (snip)

It's an excellent article.

Hope more in the ME will realize that they are their own worst enemies. They can recognize this and change, or perish.

A great Mark Steyn article was just posted as well:

War on terror can't stop with Iraq
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1031225/posts

There is nothing like a few doses of reality to wake up the ME, that things WILL change, one way or another, but ultimately for the better.

"US response with tanks and Bradleys. no report of air cover for our guys (I cannot understand that)."

They returned fire with 120mm tank rounds, 25mm rounds from the Bradlys and destroyed the buildings. Guess aire support wasnt needed. One of the convoys was escorting new, Saddam-free Iraqi dinars.

"A 3-round burst from an M-16A2
The SAW
40-mm grenades
25-mm cannon fire
For the truly-unlucky, the entire GBU series.
Need I go on?"

A great tactic to use in more convoys.

I agree; thanks for bringing that article to my attention....will read Mark Steyn anyday. He's got great insight (although, I don't always get his humor...it's a British thing! : )

Heard US military officials say just this morning that Iraqis had begun targeting "soft targets" like civilians as it was a safer way of achieving their goal of terrorizing those who are there to assist them.

This could be a tacticval mistake. The more Iraqis they murder, the more likely they will be turned in by their brethren.

Anyway, excellent job! Keep killing them until they stand down.

Great news! And I'm glad it's being publicized. I'm sure we've been killing these folks all along, but felt it wasn't PC to talk about it (or probably even to let the other Iraqis know).

But warfare is often as much about perception as it is about fighting, and we've got to make those folks perceive us correctly - as too dangerous and determined to mess with.

It was the draw of capturing the money that inspired the numbers,I believe.

The most encouraging thing about this is that they were going after that new money. That means that the billions stolen by Saddam and his minions is about to run out of time. It all has Saddam's face on it and in January will become totally worthless.

Not as long as Al-Jazeera and other anti-US Arab news outlets protray the dead as innocent civilians.

Anyway...I agree...excellent job!

We are really making a lot of progress, just for some reason we haven't been reporting it. Maybe Bush made the decision to start.

Interesting article at Debka:

Bush Told in Baghdad (Iraq): Guerrillas Taking Heavy Losses, Retreating from Sunni Triangle (Debka)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1031233/posts

Secret progress report handed Bush in Baghdad Thursday discloses Saddam guerrillas taking heavy losses – totaling 1,100 men equal to one-fifth of their strength – and in retreat from Sunni Triangle. Fearing US may opt for three-state solution Iraqi insurgents extend warfare to Kurdish and Shiite regions

Gotta do what ya have to do to save "American" lives. I can only hope these POS Saddam ass kissers (the terrorists not the DNC & US Press) die in a loud and obvious manner for all the world to see and experience. A generation has passed from this world that witness what we did to the Japanese. We're gonna have to whack someone each generation before our aggressors finally get a clue. Sad but necessary.

Stay Safe !

A chorus of Democratic condemnation emerged from the unwashed forums in DUmmyland this afternoon, as soon as this news of the US military killing 46 Iraqi Fedayeens became known.

Initial cries of "civilian slaughter" and disappointment at such few US casualties in the action (at last report, of our guys were wounded) gave way to disbelief over the military characterization of them as "ambushers" and "Fedayeen". Some posters claimed most of the 46 were civilians, while others dismissed the news as propaganda by the US military in the wake of President Bush's visit.

Here is a post that sums up the prevailing attitude in that America-hating outlet:

The Circus at FOX news is saying that they were fedayen fighters, Ha!

Just because these guys were dressed in black in the middle of the night, to FOX it means that they were Fedayen fighters. Which is ludicrous but convenient for the propaganda machine to divert attentionaway from the fact that these were plain iraqi's.

One poster compared this to the beginning of Vietnam, while another linked to the Breaking News story posted here on Freerepublic as evidence that "bloodthirsty Freepers" are loving this.

My response: Yes, us patriots here do love it when our guys kill our enemies.

SOLDIER 1: "What uniforms? I didn't see any uniforms. Did you see any uniforms?"

SOLDIER 2: "Nope, I didn't see any uniforms."

SOLDIER 3: "They were wearing all black because it makes your butt look smaller. But it wasn't a uniform. Fashion statement maybe, but definitely not a uniform."

SOLDIER 1. " Oh ...I see now ...they are all wearing black pant suits......like the one that B!TCH was wearing yesterday.

END OF REPORT

You forgot the final line by Soldier 1.
