In a demoralizing message to U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq, visiting New York Sen. Hillary Clinton told them that Americans back home are growing increasingly skeptical of President Bush's decision to send them into battle.

Describing two meetings with G.I.s over turkey dinners in Baghdad, Sen. Clinton told reporters later that soldiers wanted to know "how the people at home feel about what we are doing."

Clinton said she told the troops, "Americans are wholeheartedly proud of what you are doing but there are many questions at home about the (Bush) administration's policies."

She also suggested that the U.S. could eventually loose the war in Iraq, contending, "We have to exert all of our efforts militarily, but the outcome is not assured."

Despite her sour pronouncements, the former first lady insisted that the soldiers were just as glad to see her as they were President Bush, whose surprise visit less than 24-hours earlier was greeted with standing ovations.

"It's a positive for the commander-in-chief to visit troops in the field," Clinton told reporters, adding, "the troops [also] seemed to appreciate seeing myself."

Speaking from a secure location just over the Kuwaiti border, Mrs. Clinton launched one verbal salvo after another at the White House, arguing that Bush officials had been "obsessed" with getting Saddam Hussein and saying the perception blinded them to the difficulties of deposing his regime.

"The Pentagon tried to make do with as few troops as possible, as light a footprint as they could get away with," Clinton said. "Now, we're playing catchup . . . Unfortunately, I don't think they fully appreciated the conditions we would encounter."

The top Democrat also reprised her charge that the White House is being less than candid when it comes to apprising the American people of the costs of the war.

"The obstacles and problems here are much greater than the administration usually admits to," she said, adding, "Everybody has to be honest."

I have a name for her. It rhymes with "runt".

Yeah, a foul one.

"the troops [also] seemed to appreciate seeing myself." Seeing myself? As opposed to seeing me?

I appreciate seeing myself. The troops did not appreciate seeing me.

You forgot all the one issue nellies that sit on their hands. They will crawl over hot coals to VOTE AGAINST HER.!! The campaign contributions will flow like water, and our turnout will be record setting. Folks with just one scintilla of common sense, despise her, for her words, deeds and actions.

Are they any better than the terrorists themselves?

No; as you well-pointed out, they are MUCH WORSE....enemies within the House.....

I am reading this in stunned silence. My mouth is still hanging open. If this isn't treason, I don't know how else to describe it.

I kept looking back to see that it was satire.

Evil, thy name is hillary.

As a former veteran in America's most un-popular War I have to say this Whore/Clone; needs to be sent packing to China or North Korea and not be allowed back into our country. I have a hard time deciding who I despise more the clintonistias or the kennedy klan!

This pitiful excuse of a human waste pile is being paraded around at taxpayer expense like all the rest of her congressional ilk making openly anti-American comments when they go on these junkets to trash the troops and the President. This is exactly why I have always said these has beens and carryover baggage types need to to be tossed out on their ears and not be left to roam around like a dog or cat off their leash!

The liberal/socialist thugs of which she represents are manipulating the events here and now just like hanoi jane and her controllers did in Vietnam. This vomit splattered bitch is out of control and unfortunately over there dissing our troops and our President! The flower of American youth was sacrificed in Vietnam all to make a socialist/liberal thug like them look good and acceptable. Its time our troops say to her no thanks! and refuse to acknowlege her UN-Patriotic gestures. We have a real leader in GWB and I say HOORAY! for UP-staging this perenial SLUT!

Curious, if she carried the colors in a parade, would you stand?

A patriot always stands for the colors; it's the colors you stand for, not the transient person who carries them.

A great country will survive attacks like the one she and her associates are mounting.

That is a paradoxical question. I can't imagine that scenario ever happening, I think her hands would burn.

I almost hit the post button before adding this last sentence: Yes, I would stand for my flag. Period.

Come on people, seeing all the removed post by the Moderator, we can slice and dice without the expletives.
Traitor, as in Julius and Ethel Rosenberg is the comparison I'm seeing.
To most of us this scum is in the same vane as they.

That crazy, hip Reverend Jones (used to tool around town in a sharp red sports car- I think he was sneaking the evil weed on the side too-oooooh!) she knew as a teenager in Illinois made her a reactionary. It wasn't his fault, he had his heart in the right place I think. However, in his zealous effort to 'hip up' the cloistered suburban kiddies, took her and her lily white suburban cohorts on Church outings into the bowels of the inner city and introduced and exposed them to things they had never seen before, the unfortunate and the underclass. You know how it goes! Some young people overeact trying to make up (in their simple minds) for their perceived life of comparative carefree luxury. Then, oh no, she went off to Wellesley, and God, forget about it. Her mind became "jello". She was a full fledged-

Voila----what do you have A Righteous Relentless Commie Activist

I see the white trash Satan in a pantsuit has brough out the worst in several of us.

Undermining our troop's morale at a time like this is evil and treasonous, or at least its second cousin.
