President Bush secretly landed an hour ago and is currently eating Thanksgiving dinner at my undisclosed location. Anticipate a press release after he takes off.

Imagine the joy for the families with the coverage of their loved ones standing with the President you know BBL. that is what I was thinking.. all of them around the TV looking for & OH NOW IT"S HIM(HER) remarks & getting the vcr set up for next news coverage.
How exciting for the men/women & their families
Over on the "naughty thread" they were saying GWB's trip is not as "good" at the beast's because he only was in & out & she shows her true caring by spending several days. guess that will be their spin.

Welcome to FRee Republic. I am relatively new also and still am learning the "guidelines/rules".. You aren't spanked too badly when you mess up (depending on what, the spirit, motivation etc).. like DemoFlamers get bumped pretty fast. Most of us if we mess us get some "learnin' " from seasoned participants.
Happy Thanksgiving!

"I'm sure that Mr. Heinz is digging through his photo album, as we speak, searching for old photos of himself in Vietnam"The moto of the combat infantry officer is, "follow me." I think President Bush is easy to follow, I reserve judgement on Senator Kerry on the basis he has to run as a RAT.

I told my husband that this trip to Iraq reminded me so much of when he threw out that pitch in NY.
Both took guts!!!

Class of '98 checking in. Angelwood and I (both members of the Class of '98) went to Walter Reed Army Medical Center today, along with TruthNtegrity, tgslTakoma and Mark Phelps.
We visited Sgt. Santos and about a dozen other patients in his ward. Most of them had family there, so our visits were short for the most part. Spirits were mostly good, but some of the guys are dealing with serious, life-altering injuries.
When we got out of the hospital and were back on the road, we heard on the radio confirmation of President Bush's trip to Baghdad and let out a loud cheer!

What I CAN'T understand is why this is breaking news. I hope this was a joke!

Meanwhile, in other news, Democratic Presidential hopeful Howard Dean (D-VT) responded to President Bush's remarkable visit to Baghdad: "Well, I would have gone; but there was no place to ski..." Or:
"Well, I would have gone; but I had a problem with my back..."

"What did you do all day, B**ch?" ;0) You shouldn't have to put up with that. Tell her, "Men deserve respect, too!" and then stamp your little foot.

"but what do they think Hitlery went to Afghanistan for, an Afghan?" Don't you just know that when the troops in Afghanistan heard about the president going to Iraq, they had to be thinking, "what did we do to deserve getting stuck with Hillary?"

And John Kerry is reported to be making inquiries as to where he can rent some balls.

Thank you for visiting the wounded at Walter Reed Hospital today.
I wrote a note to Sgt. Santos thanking him for his service and assuring him of my prayers for his recovery.
