We can expect more of this FR citing, I expect. Rush knows who his real friends are--the people at this forum.

In many ways, we're like him. A lot of people on the net have heard of us but are intimidated by the lies spread about FR by the lieberal media. Same with Rush.

But once you actually take the time to listen to Rush or read the posts here, you find both FR and Rush are some of the best places to get humor and news analysis.

Rush knows an intelligent, thoughtful and dedicated conservative when he sees one! (Or reads one-lol!)

Rush just 'gets it'. I well remember that my husband and I, living in GE at the time, watched with dismay and alarm as our friends in the military began to express such deep frustration, almost hurt, regarding policies of the klinton administration. One night, late, listening to the Army Radio Station-on came Rush-for one precious hour only.

And that began my education...he lifted us up, as his ideals were ours, he balanced the news from CNN so well, most importantly, informed us.

After six yrs in GE, we came back to the States, residing in MD at that time, and I found FR ( HURRAH!), was able to hear THREE hours of Rush, and volunteered for Judicial Watch. Life changing stuff.

Not surprised to learn that Rush has taken notice of Congressman Billybob....his posts are laden with common sense and truth.

Congressman Billybob's key point:

This weekend the entire national media reported that due to "arm-twisting" on Republicans in the House, the Medicare bill passed in the House after an unprecedented three-hour delay between the original vote and when the vote was gaveled to a close.

If everyone is saying this, it must be true, right?

Wrong. You cannot necessarily trust what you read in the papers, or see on network TV.

At 3 a.m., the original voting time on the bill, the tote board on C-SPAN showed that the bill would lose, 216-218. In that tally, which was not final until the gavel fell, 204 Republicans voted for the bill, but 25 voted against. At 5:53 a.m. when the vote was gaveled to an end, the bill passed, 220-215, with 204 Republicans voting aye and 25 voting nay. Contrary to the entire national press coverage on this issue, there was NO NET GAIN among Republicans in the House.

As the record revealed, to anyone who cared to watch the C-SPAN coverage of the event live, the entire change that ultimately passed this bill occurred on the DEMOCRAT side of the aisle. --Congressman Billybob

I didn't hear it. In my corner of the Blue Ridge Mountains, I cannot get Rush's broadcasts. (It may be the only place in America other than some deep mine shafts where Rush cannot be heard.)

I am sure there are both transcripts and click links for replays of audio that will become available shortly. I ask my friends on FreeRepublic to let me know at first opportunity where either or both of those can be found.

Listening to it right now, we get Rush on an hour delay here in Austin. Congrats, Congressman Billybob! He started to talk about your article before the bottom of the hour hard break and then came back to it afterwards. Good stuff.

Now he's explaining "schaedenfruede" (sp) to the audience, LOL! Rush FReeps, does anyone have any doubt? Dems everywhere are gnashing their teeth in frustration that Rush is STILL the best. Love ya, Rush!
