Bombshell: Kobe Accuser Had Sex with Key Witness
The Globe ^ | 11/20/03 | Globe

Posted on 11/21/2003 11:44:43 AM PST by Smogger

A new bombshell revelation in the Kobe Bryant case threatens to destroy the credibility of the prosecution’s key witness - whose testimony could send the basketball superstar to jail for years. Sources told GLOBE that the 19-year-old woman who has accused Bryant of rape told them she had sex with the prosecution’s star witness Bobby Pietrack - a week before she met Bryant.

Pietrack, a 23-year-old bellhop at the resort where the alleged rape took place, is the first person Katelyn Faber told about her encounter with Bryant. He can testify about her emotional state and physical appearance at the time.

But legal experts tell us that if there was a sexual encounter between Katelyn and the bellhop, it could wreck his credibility and sink the case of the Eagle County, Colo., prosecutor.

For all the details of this blockbuster story, pick up the new issue of GLOBE.

Crap like this means, to me, a woman....that rape is pretty much a free for all and easy to get away with...

Yep, the perps have enablers. That is why they continue to get away with it. It is shameful.

Of course it's a possibility.

What people are doing with this case are making up or exaggerating facts to fit their story of a "brutal rape." The fact is, if their own son were on trial for this crime and they found out as much about this accuser as we have, they'd be screaming for her head.

You see, on FR, despite credibility hits there are going to be people who presume you guilty simply because you have been charged. Their view of you will be further dimmed if you are committing a sin(sex outside of marriage, adultery, etc) or possibly being an athlete, especially a black athlete.

If this was their son, though, they'd be going after the accuser too.

You know why? Because you HAVE TO in this kind of case, especially if you want to be exonerated in the public eye and not just found "not guilty." In this type of case, one person is lying. If you're innocent of rape that means your accuser is lying(not talking about mistaken identity here.) If your accuser is lying she deserves no honor.

But some here would have you believe they'd not even MENTION the accuser, even if they were innocent.

Here's a hint: THEY ARE LYING.

A guy named 'Pietrack' and a woman with the same name as the college in Animal House...? This is getting too wierd.

It's almost a tie with "Joey Buttafuco".

Well I disagree with 140. An arresting agency doesn't have the authority to make charging decisions; only a prosecutorial agency does.

In other words, the poster who wrote 140 doesn't have a clue what they are talking about.

If she is free to accuse him, a high profile star, knowing all the publicity that would come about, then her name should be just as available as his.

This "poor, poor Kobe, having his life ruined by some vicious slut" was not forced to whip it out and use it on her, in violation of his vows. And if the girl's sexual history is fair game, shouldn't his apparent willingness to lie to his wife, to God, and to anyone at his wedding be taken into consideration too? It might be good to remember that as this thread continues.

Your scary attitude is exactly what I was describing in my earlier post. Too many of you think it is fine to hang Kobe for adultery if you cant get him on rape. This is why people are afraid of people like Judge Moore, though I supported him. People realize that there are some like you who think in this nation you can just prosecute someone for breaking Gods laws, if man's laws dont do the job for you.

If you want to petition the courts to charge Bryant with adultery, be my guest, but dont call him 'guilty' in the context of this court case, because he sinned. In cases of sin, courts are not the judge and if I may say so, neither are you.

I thought the lab found the blood.

I am positive. I'll find the transcript later when I have a chance, but the idea was given out because the detective said Bryant had the shirt tucked in, then when the shirt was handed over he didn't examine it, just put it in a bag and delivered to evidence where the lab then got it. The detective said at a later time he did in fact observe the smears.

I didn't say "so much" blood, I said "as much a she did" in order to leave smears. I didn't claim it was gallons or deviate at all from what is a known fact. She bled enough to leave smears on his shirt is all I said, and I, for one, do not find that normal or usual, on its face. I'll wait for more testimony to persuade me it's more common than I think.

Don't be ridiculous. If she had sex with multiple partners before OR after being with Bryant, there is no way on earth a prosecutor could prove Bryant was the one who caused those "jaw dropping" injuries.

Perhaps, perhaps not. But I'm talking about the act itself, you're talking about the ability to prove the act, which are two different things. The inability to prove he did it results in a "Not guilty" verdict, but it doesn't mean he's innocent. Ask OJ.

Its way too early to predict an outcome.

I'll agree with that. But, when the judge didn't want to bind the case over for trial, but had too, you have got to wonder.

Personally, I believe adultery should be punishable by castration, but hey, that's just me. Of course, Kobe could have shot her on national TV and some of the jock-sniffers in here would have twisted themselves into pretzels to defend him.

Kobe Bryant, Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson, Bill Clinton hall of shame bump.

"I'll agree with that. But, when the judge didn't want to bind the case over for trial, but had too, you have got to wonder."

The judge was being shortsighted.

I remember everybody thinking those three cops in LA would be found guilty in the Rodney King case and guess what? They were found innocent after trial.

While I'm not a fan..of either per se. I do believe that "we" don't know ALL the facts in either case. And if merely questioning the events and "facts" at this point in time...makes one a defender..well then I'm speechless....

I know two women who were raped and both have said that what struck them most forcefully was the wacky dialog the girl reported from Kobe during and after.
They said they were both spoken to that way, as though the rapist was trying to convince her and himself that it wasn't rape, even as he punched them.

In the meantime, someone needs to tell this young lady the rule about always wearing clean underwear.

Her promiscuity is not at all unusual in girls her age today, nor would it have been in the '60s or any time in between.
Being promiscious does not mean she can't be raped.

The poster in 140 does, and you are biased beyond recognition on this issue. Your demeanor does little to hide that fact. I may have misued the word 'charged'; I should have said 'arrested', but I think anyone not blinded by bias could get my meaning easily. Suck it up, dear. You are going to lose this one.

This "witness" will not prove to be a good one. They may choose not to call him to the stand. Now, is it HIS semen in her panties? Or yet another man's?

I don't know, but what we DO know is that TWO men refused to submit DNA evidence to the police and NEITHER of them was Kobe Bryant.

What is NOW's opinion on what constitutes a rape?

Insertion of a penis into a vagina....
