Hi Shooter 2.5. Somehow I recall that we have had this discussion before. FWIW, I agree with every point you make.

But the "544 Camp St." thing proves nothing and means nothing. Oswald was a nut. A disgruntled, mixed up, weird person. He got lucky.

Forget J. Edgar Hoover, Oswald, Castro, the Mafia or LBJ -- it was the Secret Service all the time! ;^)

I don't think so. Oliver Stone has had a very curious obsession about this for many years. Do we know where he was at the time?

Stone also probably had a double to confuse the track. To my knowledge, Michael Moore has never accounted for his whereabouts either, so all we need to do is prove he's been lying about his age as part of the coverup.

Look at the clip again, it was Connally that did the shooting, left-handed.

One thing for sure. Most all the principals are dead, there are records still under seal for at least 25 more years, so many people who could have solved this went to their "rewards" without spilling what they knew at the time...the Kennedy assassination is a hall of mirrors that has no end.

"Do we know where he was at the time?"

The only thing I can swear to is, I know where I was at the time and I didn't do it.

Thanks for posting this website. I am not a Kennedy fan. However, after watching the History Channel 6-hour special on "The Men Who Killed Kennedy," I find myself wondering what really happened.

I caught one of the hours and it was about TX politics and said that LBJ had a BIG hand it the assasination.

If you can't trust your VP who can you trust?

Sorry dude, even if Oswald was a shooter (which I'm not convinced of), even if Oswald was the only shooter (which I don't believe for a second), there was still enough wierd stuff going on that there had to be others involved in the planning and some form of cover-up. The multiple arrests alone proves this was no simple lone-gunman.

He wasn't seen on the upper floors, he was seen coming out of the lunch room, on the second floor, with a bottle of soda in his his hand by a policeman and supervisor of the book depository.

Sorry, I clearly disagree. I am no ballistic expert nor am I a forensic expert. Having said that, I have been a shooter since forever. So is my entire family. I have hunted and shot thousands and thousands of rounds.

yes, but could you shoot 3 shots at a moving target so quickly????? HUMMMMMMM?

What multiple arrests are you talking about?

The best and most thorough analysis of the evidence leads to one likely conclusion, in my humble opinion. Oswald did it, alone.

All this other stuff about CIA, Cuban and mob contacts means nothing. No other person or persons have been put forward as having any credible links to the shooting that day.

The simplest explanantion is that Oswald did it. If anything else is believed it has to involve at least dozens, if not hundreds, of other people. It just isn't likely that something like that could happen and stay so secret in my view.

I am open to anything but at some point I believe that one must settle on a most likely scenario, not a perfect scenario, just the most likely one.

Of course, new technologies may emerge that would be able to better discern the truth and the examine the existing evidence. There is always a chance that that will happen.

That's my two cents anyway.

...in absolute defiance of the laws of physics, which were suspended that day in Dealy Plaza: bullets turning in mid air; bullets that go through two bodies without being damaged; bullets weighing the same after being fired while still losing some of their weight; and the list goes on.

Oswald getting busted twice, let go the first time.

It's nearly impossible for that gun to crank out that many accurate shots at a moving target that quickly. That makes Oswald as the single shooter not a very simple explanation, let's not even get into the magic bullet, there is NO simple explanation for that going through that many supposed ricochetes and coming out pristine. Some of the counter explanations require dozens of people to be involved, but not all. It could simply be that Oswald had a compatriot, or two or three guys did it and set him up.

Part of the problem of course is that functionally there is no existing evidence. The body is gone, the autopsy was crap, the site investigation was pathetic. All we've really got for evidence is one amateur film and a few dozen amateur photos. That evidence says there's a definite maybe.

Actually, they were a pretty damn accurate rifle. The reason they were so cheep is that they were pre-WWII Italian Army surplus and over 100,000 (unused -- dropped once) were dumped on the market in that time frame.

I have hunted and shot thousands and thousands of rounds. For me, as gruesome as it is, this shot came from behind and above Kennedy. For me, this is intractable.

Have you read "CASE CLOSEED" by Posner? The Left really hates the guy for that book so I figure he is on to something.

I have done a lot of reading and watching of documentaries on this over the last few decades and I went from thinking there was a conspiracy to thinking that the most likely scenario is that Oswald did it acting alone.

That's just my opinion and I am certainly no expert. I just think at some point one must settle on a most likely scenario of events based on the existing evidence.

I believe that any conspiracy theory requires the active and passive participation of dozens, if not hundreds, of people. Just not likely in my view.

New technologies may emerge that can give a more definitive answer. Nothing is ever going to be 100% certain.

That's my two cents anyway.

Well, I have been at Dealy Plaza and the book depository. I have examined the scene from a shooter's point-of-view. The key is that the motorcade was nearly moving away from Oswald's perch in a direct line-of-site at 20 mph or so. The direct line-of-sight, when oriented thus, makes it nearly a stationary target to the shooters eye. I must tell you that I have made numerous more difficult shots.

Now, could I or Oswald or anyone make two out of three shots with that awkward rifle reliably? Maybe not. But remember, Oswald only had to achieve that result (2 of 3) once in order to achieve the horrific outcome of that day. And one can only imagine the adrenaline that was coursing thru his veins during those crucial moments. That awkward motion nothwithstanding, Oswald was able to "rapid" fire three shots. Shooting at a pumpkin the next day, he may well have missed all three or not gotten them off at all.

That is my respectful take - and I simply qualify myself as a recreational, yet experienced, shooter.

Check out post 24. If we accept you infinite wisdom, then we can conclude that Jackie gave him the tap to the back of the head. Maybe she found out about the other women. ;-)
