Have you read "CASE CLOSEED" by Posner? The Left really hates the guy for that book so I figure he is on to something.

I have done a lot of reading and watching of documentaries on this over the last few decades and I went from thinking there was a conspiracy to thinking that the most likely scenario is that Oswald did it acting alone.

That's just my opinion and I am certainly no expert. I just think at some point one must settle on a most likely scenario of events based on the existing evidence.

I believe that any conspiracy theory requires the active and passive participation of dozens, if not hundreds, of people. Just not likely in my view.

New technologies may emerge that can give a more definitive answer. Nothing is ever going to be 100% certain.

That's my two cents anyway.

I haven't read that one, came out after I lost primary interest (frankly Watergate is a lot more interesting than JFK). But while I was interested I did a lot of reading and watching on it.

My conclusion on what is the most likely scenario is exactly the opposite of yours. I find it highly unlikely that anybody could get off three shots with a bolt action rifle at a moving target of that size over that distance with any degree of accuracy, and it is quite frankly impossible that any bullet would do what the Warren Commision says that bullet did, even more impossible that it could come out looking pristine, and beyond any belief that it could then just appear on the stretcher. Even God doesn't work miracles as dramatic as what the Commision wants us to believe about that bullet.

At this juncture a functional conspiracy could work with just three participants: Oswald, the guy that killed Oswald (whose name just fell right out of my head with an audible plop), and one cop. With one conspirator dead within days, another dead a few years later, and the third being smart enough to remain anonymous (and by now 40 years later probably dead); that would be enough to explain all of the issues I have with the lone-gunman explanation and not have dozens of conspirators.

Of course then you have the long list of people who were going to "tell all" and then mysteriously died. Far reaching conspiracies have existed throughout history periodically, this could be one of those, or it could be there are a lot of unlucky people that were in Dallas that day in history.

The Left Establishment loves Posner: Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, Arlen Specter, etc.
