You (and Bush) are Likely Too Dumb for This

Thankfully, we have stars to tell us so
If youre an American, chances are theres a celebrity who thinks youre dumb. Maybe even stupid. Or an idiot. Or something worse, which we cant print here.
Yes, show a celebrity an American, and that celebrity will show you an ignoramus.
Too sweeping a statement? Perhaps. But what about this Michael Moore screed about Americans in the London Mirror earlier this month? They are possibly the dumbest people on the planet. ...We Americans suffer from an enforced ignorance. We dont know about anything thats happening outside our country. Our stupidity is embarrassing.
Until Michael Moore pointed it out, you probably didnt know how embarrassingly stupid you are. In fact, you probably have so little intelligence you didnt know that Moore isnt the only celebrity who thinks youre dumb. Indeed, Moore has colleagues in the celebrity kingdom who think the same thing.
So put on your well-worn dunce cap and check out what other celebrities say about your intelligence. And if the celebrities are correct in their analysis, youre moving your lips as you read this.
Johnny Depp said a few months back, America is dumb, is something like a dumb puppy that has big teeth that can bite and hurt you. (Depp later claimed he was quoted out of context and offered: I am an American. I love my country and have great hopes for it. It is for this reason that I speak candidly and sometimes critically about it. But still, were like dumb puppies?)
Ted Turner once said this about television-watchers: The United States has got some of the dumbest people in the world. I want you to know that; we know that.
Jane sounds off, too
Speaking of Ted Turner, Jane Fonda was in Canada this past April and said: I dont know if a country where the people are so ignorant of reality and of history, if you can call that a free world.
Also in Canada, Martin Sheen said recently: Every time I cross this border, I feel like Ive left the land of lunatics. You are not armed and dangerous. You do not shoot each other. I always feel a bit more human when I come here.
Lunatics, ignorant people, dummies even dumb puppies. Yes, we got em all here.
Where does this superior celebrity intellect come from? Its actually part of a larger phenomenon, one involving the president. Celebrities sneer at President Bushs intelligence. And then they think were all the same, just dumb Bush-boosters.

This is why, at an early age, I realized I was a conservative. I cannot understand how people can think this way. How they can be this condescending.
I hate liberals.
To: quidnunc
Only half of us are stupid. The other half are conservatives.

Sheen left school in the 9th grade, and well over 75% of actors have no college diploma. 'Nuff said.

Hi stupid people!
To: quidnunc
No celebrity said it smarter than Sandra Bernhard. She asserted her intelligence and belittled Bush at the same time to the Washington Post in March 2002: Im an intelligent person from America. I was born in Michigan and raised in Arizona, and while I do reside in New York, I travel the country extensively. Any thinking person who lives in the world would be disturbed at whats going on right now. I think Bush is amateurish and self-serving, and, frankly, its disgusting.
I would offer a retort to Bernhard, but I cant think of anything smart to say. Ive never been to Michigan.

I would submit that G.W. is perfectly happy to have liberals believing that he is dumb. They continue to underestimate him, at their peril.
Dumb like a fox.

To: Madame Dufarge
Wonder what Chris has to say about the great unwashed? Matthews is too busy listening to the sound of his own voice to give any thought to anybody else.

They smell?
After reading the rant by some "professor" at Wells yesterday, I think that would be the leftwing retort. The professor said that Republicans were needed lobotomies and were stupid.
Why do I think this merits the childhood phrase: Whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you...
Thses people are infantile.

The process of becoming a liberal involves a tribalization of sorts in which, much like joining the union, you give up your right to be an individual, you then slowly, and over time embrace GROUPTHINK, whereby a tremendous "warm fuzzy" is your reward for being part of a very large group, which couldn't possibly be wrong.
'Been there, done that.

I am one of the dumb ones.
I am a straight white male, born and raised in the South on a farm.
I own guns and I am an NRA member.
I believe in God.
I drive an SUV.
I eat meat, sometimes even meat that I myself have hunted and killed.
I don't have any tatoos, any pierced body parts, and I don't shave anything but my face.
I cut my own hair, and I don't use any 'beauty' products.
My clothes come mainly from Wal-Mart, Target, Burlington Coat factory, and online hunting businesses.
I am everything that Hollywood and the media elites hate ... and I love that.
By the way, I have a college education, an IQ in the 140's, I have done business in and travelled to at least 30 countries in Europe and Asia, and I am an officer/stockholder in a company that employs 30+ people.
I also voted in 2002 a straight Republican ticket for the first time in my life.
And aside from the Matrix: Reloaded DVD I just bought, I have not spent one red cent on any Hollywood "product" in the past 12 months. So, in effect, I hate them right back.
