***Urgent Help Needed!***

Support the Senate Republican filibuster on judicial nominees!!!

STOP THE DEMOCRAT OBSTRUCTION!

SUPPORT FRIST-MILLER!

What you can do to help:
Frist Hopes to Change Filibuster Rules
by Keith Peters, Washington, D.C., correspondent

Senate majority leader wants to lower the number of votes needed to stop Democratic blockade of President Bush's judicial nominees.

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist has had enough of his Democratic colleagues filibustering conservative judicial nominees — so he has plans to make breaking those filibusters easier.

Frist wants to do it by changing Senate rules governing the number of votes needed to override a filibuster. His attempt to do it through a Senate resolution is co-sponsored by Sen. Zell Miller, D-Ga.

"It would end the filibuster as applied to the president's nominations," explained Manuel Miranda, a Frist aide. "On the first vote there would be the 60 votes that we have now, and then it would escalate downward so that at the end . . . a simple majority would be able to do what the Constitution calls upon senators to do — have an honest, fair up-or-down vote."

Attorney Deanna Mool of the Republican National Lawyers Association said Democrats have applied a litmus test to judicial nominees by blocking Miguel Estrada, Priscilla Owen and Bill Pryor.

"If the Democrats don't like the view of the appointee on certain issues, they just say, 'You know what? We're not going to allow a vote on this guy or woman and we don't have to seat them.' It's just wrong."

Miranda said he thinks most people understand how wrong it is, which is why he predicts success for the Republicans.

"I think the American people are becoming very aware and sensitized to the issue of the judiciary, the importance of the judiciary and how bad it can be when the judiciary goes awry," he said.

1. CONTACT YOUR SENATORS- Send emails, make phone calls and send faxes. Tell the Republicans you support the fillibuster and Frist-Miller. Tell the Democrats TO STOP THE OBSTRUCTION!

2. CONTACT THE MEDIA- Write letters to the editor at your local newspapers urging the Democrats to TO STOP OBSTRUCTING BUSH'S JUDICIAL NOMINEES!

3. GATHER A GROUP OF PEOPLE AND GO TO YOUR SENATORS OFFICE- Tell them you support the filibuster

4. ATTEND THE FILIBUSTER! CONTACT ME ABOUT GETTING IN. GO AND SHOW SUPPORT FOR THE REPUBLICAN SENATE, BRING COOKIES FOR THEM! THERE WILL BE PRESS CONFERENCES STARTING WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND ALL DAY THURSDAY. TALK RADIO WILL BE BROADCASTING FROM THE SENATE AND RADIO FREE REPUBLIC WILL BE THERE, INTERVIEWING!

SUPPORT THE SENATE WHEN THEY SHOW SOME BACKBONE!!!!!

Is this a filibuster or just a scheduled 30 hour 'talkathon' scheduled by the Republicans to highlight the Democrat filibusters?

**Sigh... my Senators are Schumer and Clinton... they are the prime movers of politicization. Anyone else worth writing to for someone from New York?**

Don't give up on them. Let them know they are not representing you as a constituent. It may not do much now, but it will plug up their emails, faxes and phones. (Drive them nuts for me too!)

I am always emailing my dim representative in Congress because she does not vote the way this constituent would like to see her vote. It let's them know they aren't getting away with their liberal games, too!

Excellent and most correct idea IG.

One of the best ways to get to your Senators is thru the local office. If the local office reports complaints and pickets, the boys in Washington get nervous.

For those who are stuck with RAT Senators, a little local presence will start them squirming.

Thanks for posting email site. Even though I have to RATS - Nelson and Graham - I sent them the following:

Senator Nelson:
As a Florida resident and voter, I must strongly register my anger and dismay over the actions of the Democrats in the Senate. It's bad enough that a handful of Democrats are blocking judicial nominations of well qualified judges. But the latest exposure of the treason-like thinking shown in the Intelligence Committee memo is almost unbelievable.

What is going on in D.C.? Are you all so blind to the threats from radical Islamist who are planning to kill this country and our way of life? Have all Democrats - other than Zell Miller - lost all morals? Have you all forgotten your oath when you took office?

This latest revelation of the sinister plans by Democrats by way of "MemoGate" that you are willing to do ANYTHING to try and regain majority power is a disgrace. I urge you to use whatever influence you have over your party members to stop these petty politics in time of war ---- our military are being killed EVERY DAY while your party plays games.

"Maybe" they will feel a sense of shame!! I know, RATS don't know what shame is.

I'm trying to find someone to help with organization of the event. I'm 2 hrs away. The email requestion for 'some action' didn't arrive until 8:30 Friday night and I haven't a clue where to find the rebel rousers on weekends. Early tomorrow morning I will start calling and leaving messages at offices. I did find a young man at a County Fund Raiser last night who has connections with the Drake Republicans,, that should be a fine contact.

A post on the FR Iowa board got no response.

Someone posted a 'type' of paint pen which should be used to make posters which is better than Majic Markers. Would you happen to have that information?

I wonder if the Devil should make an appearance?

Write Schumer and Hitlery and tell them how disgusted you are with them. That can oftentimes be more productive than just writing to those politicians who agree with your position.

My letter to Senator John Cornyn in Texas (and ditto going to Hutchison):

[Please feel free to copy my letter to send to your Senator as well !!]

My Dear Senator Cornyn:

I am strongly opposed to the Democrats use of the filibuster to obstruct President Bush's judicial nominations. It is unprecedented in the 219 year history of the Senate. It is abhorrent. It is OUTRAGEOUS. It is unfair to the nominees, the President and the American people. President Bush's judicial nominations DESERVE a straight up or down vote on the floor of the Senate.

Please do EVERYTHING you can to stop the Democrats use of weapons of mass obstruction ! It is UNFAIR !!

I understand that this week the GOP is FINALLY going to force the Democrats to do a real filibuster. I support this and hope it brings national attention to the issue of the Democrats wrongful and unprecedented use of the filibuster to obstruct judicial nominees from getting a straight up or down vote on the Senate floor. I hope it puts the necessary pressure on the Democrats to end this obstruction !

You have my permission to read this letter to the Democrats on the floor of the Senate. Please voice my displeasure and objections with the Democrats obstruction of judicial nominees. In fact, I insist !

Thank you.

Sincerely,
