There are four other relevant posts that I want to highlight here in case anyone missed them or didn't get pinged. These are a general Terri thread troll alert, an especially thoughtful post about the sincere effort that FReepers are making in Terri's behalf, the Father's Love Letter , and remarks made by Jim Robinson on this issue and reposted here by lonevoice.

This thread serves as a place for posting all new general information and references, along with links following Terri's case, plus information on cable news and talk radio shows dealing with the issue, court cases and press releases. This is also the place to post contact information, prayers and general discussion.
If you have something that qualifies as BREAKING NEWS or FRONT PAGE NEWS, please post it on a separate thread in that category in order to give it maximum exposure and then post a link to the article/thread here so that it will be included in the next update of links. Also, if you post links to articles from original sources and there is also a thread on FR, please link to the FR thread. Many original links become corrupt over time and we want to be able to access the information at will.
There was a tremendous amount of information posted on the previous thread. For anyone who hasn't been following the daily threads, links to relevant posts and information from the previous thread are contained in the body of the present one. I have found that very helpful in trying to find something later. You people are doing a spectacular job of getting information out and also in helping to keep all of us updated here. What a great joint effort. This fight, to me, illustrates beautifully what Free Republic is about and what it means to be a FReeper. Way to go FRiends. Keep up the good work!

If you are using your name (for example - Jacobs and Gregory Auto Parts) you do not need to file a fictitious business name statement because you are actually using your name in the business.
Does that mean that both names are part of the company? Or does it mean that you can put any legal name out there and not be held accountable?
I'm still considering your other points...
Doyle Marshall's excellent book A Cry Unheard (Available at Texas Butane Company in Weatherford, Texas) describes some of the Indian attacks of the time. During and after the Civil War, attacks became more frequent and more savage. Rather than large groups raiding for horses, most attacks were by small groups and concentrated on attacking farms. No quarter was given on either side. It was if Sheridan's words became the credo for both sides. When Indian Agents in the Indian Territory gave the Indians repeating rifles to hunt, the Indians used them against the Texans. One Indian chief reportedly said that he had made peace with the United States but that did not include the Texans. Consequently, the Indians became known to the settlers as "Uncle Sam's Pets."* * *Officials in Washington discounted the reports of Indian atrocities that were given in the newspapers and even those reported by the Army. The proof that the reports of bloody attacks and people carried off into captivity, an estimated 400 from the area around Parker County were not exaggerated came at the Warren Wagon Train attack near Fort Richardson, located near the present town of Jacksboro.
General Sherman was on an official tour of the western forts. Accompanied by a small escort, he was sent to see if the persistent reports of Indian raids were the exaggerations that Washington believed. A band of Kiowa under the command of Satanta and Big Tree were ready to attack Sherman's group. But a medicine man counseled them to wait until a bigger prize came along.
The next day May 18, 1871, Captain Henry Warren's wagon train carrying corn to Fort Belknap came into sight near Flat Top Mountain. The train was attacked; Warren, the wagon master, and six teamsters were killed. Two teamsters got away and managed to get to Fort Richardson in the middle of the night. The next morning, General Sherman went to the site of the attack and saw that one of the teamsters had been chained to a wagon wheel and a fire lit beneath him to burn him to death. He also saw the other mutilations that had been done by the Indians. General Sherman changed his mind about the severity of the Indian problem and events proceeded toward all out war.
One of Sherman's pallbearers was Confederate General Joseph Johnston ... the commander of all confederate forces in the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida. He had surrendered to Sherman at the war's end. Shows the high regard Sherman was held in.
I saw the tape-looks like tracking (following object with her eyes) and response(smiling to her mother) to me. Not to metion she says, or has said words. That's alot more response than most of my of my patients have.
"To describe this as an execution is unproductive"
From the Dictionary:
Execution
2. A putting to death especially as a legal penalty
"The damage to Terri's cerebral cortex is global"
The "experts" in the Karen Quinlan case insisted that she had no cerebral cortex. An autopsy was done after she was disconnected from life support (Vent.). Guess what "they" found? I have heard of cases where the "experts" were incorrect in reading the scans because the fluid obscures the veiw.
"This is not hearsay evidence"
The hearsay I'm referring to is that of MS. Where he is claiming that his wife "doesn't want to live this way"- Also that he "remembered" this , after he got his settlement money. Terri's friends and family both dispute this. They also state that the marriage was in trouble Terri had mentioned divorce before the "collpase". I have read accounts that even if she did say something about not wanting life support, she was referring to being kept alive on a vent/respirator- Not being starved and dehydrated to death.
"and how many do you know who have recovered"
That's the question -Does the judge have the right to order the execution of a citizen because they are disabled? Particularly when there is no written Living Will of what the person would want.
"No one is advocating anything even close to that"
You didn't read it did you? Let me assist you. From the link about the Nuremberg Trials-about 6 sentences down
In Nazi Germany, German physicians planned and enacted the "Euthanasia" program. The systematic killing of those they deemed "unworthy of life". The victims included the mentally retarded, the institionalized mentally ill, and the phsically impaired.
This is exactly what's being suggested in my opinion, in Terri's case. This is the precedent it will set. If a guardain doesn't want to care for his/her charge any longer and the charge is unable to communicate- the guardain can simply go to court and say that he "remembers" that the charge "told me" he/she "doesn't want to live like this" and the judge can order the disabled person executed by starvation/dehydration. Even if the guardian has obvious conflicts of interest, and/or stands to gain from the death of his/her charge.
It is astonishing to me that MS and the lawyers keep insisting that starvation /dehydration is NOT euthanasia. Even if a person is 100% healthy, you can kill them for sure with starvation/ dehydration. It works on any living thing- no shutting off a vent or letting a terminally ill person die-this is much more controversial) .
An otherwise perfectly healthy person, who has disablilites, can be sentenced to death, simply because he/she is deemed "unworthy of life", by the state. Pretty scary stuff.
LOL....you cracked me up with that one, lonevoice.
But we all know who does!
.
ROTFL! Or he could be the personal PR man for Felos and Schiavo.
Okay...Michael Schiavo is not the same as Jergers & Centonze. He is not JERGER or CENTONZE so he should file for a fictitious name?
