"Mystic River" is a feel nothing go nowhere movie that never needed to be made.

I haven't seen it, but that is what everybody who have seen it has told me.

It's a lose lose movie for all those that saw it.

Wait a year and see it for free on regular TV. It's a loser.

I have always liked and admired Eastwood even before I read somewhere that he is a conservative. But there is no way that I will ever view anything starring Sean Penn and -- isn't Tim Robbins also in Eastwood's latest flic?

We gave these a$$holes the platform they stand on to speak, and we can damn well take it away from them.

I like Eastwood, but I really never will watch a movie that would put a dime in Penn or Robbins's pockets again. I know others far less conservative than me that have said the same.

For my part, call it "Avenging Tailgunner Joe". Sure, the government can't blacklist them (not that it ever actually did) but I sure as hell can. And so can my "fellow travellers".

I was given to understand that Eastwood's political leanings aren't any secret... he's allegedly something of a libertarian-leaning conservative.

The last I heard, there are no big federal government laws passed, forcing people to attend movies against their will.

If MR tanks maybe Producers like Eastwood will think twice when they cast for actors/actresses.

Clint made a strategic business error when he hired sean and tim. Many will just not contribute to the livelyhood of America bashers.

Eastwood is one of the few true professionals in Hollywood who tries to keep his personal political views out of the picture. He certainly seems to lean conservative, but that has nothing to do with his movie-making, and he's humble enough not to try to parlay screen celebrity into political stature.

No doubt he's disturbed when he makes a movie he feels great about and some of his actors make asses of themselves and drive people away from seeing it. That's sort of the antithesis to how he's conducted his career.

I love Clint Eastwood movies but I will be darned if I buy a ticket to anything with Sean Penn ,his acting sucks.
