I was told by an attorney that in Ohio law that if you move in with a person of the opposite sex and as much as buy a toaster together that you are considered married by common law. And if you move in with a girlfriend and you are already married you can be charged with bigomy. This was many years ago that I heard this and I don't know how true it is now.
Bingo. This appears so obvious. How can she be denied a divorce when her husband is living with another woman and having children with her. What woman on earth should be required to remain married to such a beast. Just because Terri is brain damaged does not mean she should loose her ability to divorce an unfaithful husband.
They included an authorization, but Judge Greer is dragging his feet, hoping she will die, IMO.

2 .. to pay (directly, through payment of Federal financial participation or other matching payment or otherwise) for such an item or service, including payment of expenses relating to such an item or service; or
3 .. to pay (in whole or in part) for health benefit coverage that includes any coverage of such an item or service or for any expenses relating to such an item or service.
(b) Construction and treatment of certain services:
Nothing in subsection (a) of this section, or in any other provision of this chapter (or in any amendment made by this chapter), shall be construed to apply to or to affect any limitation relating to ::
1 .. the withholding or withdrawing of medical treatment or medical care;
2 .. the witholding or withdrawing of nutrition or hydration;
3 .. abortion; or
4 .. the use of an item, good, benefit, or service furnished for the purpose of alleviating pain or discomfort, even if such use may increase the risk of death, so long as such item, good, benefit, or service is not also furnished for the purpose of causing, or the purpose of assisting in causing, death, for any reason.
This is a long shot -- but could maybe the children of Sunny Von Buhlen or her attorney to put in a word? Or make an appearance on TV? She is still in a coma after 20 years and no one is in a frenzy for her to die.
To me this is a horror story. THERE IS NO PROOF TERRI WANTS TO DIE. If Terri had been this determined to die, she would have made out a 'living will." I was disappointed that the conservative columnist Suzanne Fields wrote "perhaps we should allow Mrs. Schiavo to die" and desecribed her as being in a "vegetative state."
Yet, last night, because he has a forum to opine, co-called Christian, all around good guy John Wilson, obviously not armed with any facts, opined that Terri should be starved and dehydrated to death.
I called the Pinellas #727-461-1313 to inform Local Fox Affiliate Ch. 13 that I would be boycotting their station, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO John Wilson's Annual CHRISTIAN CHRISTMAS PROGRAM.
I urge everyone to do the same and since I forgot to, if you call or email John Wilson or the station manager, advise John Wilson to research both sides before playing god on tv.

Someone posted on another thread that it would be illegal under Florida law to cremate someone like Terri without an autopsy. Sorry I can't remember where that post was.
If you have a minute, could you post those email addresses here? The station manager needs to know that John Wilson was an idiot last night on Fox. 13. Last time I looked I wasn't god, Judge Greer wasn't god and NEITHER IS JOHN WILSON, Christmas Program Executive Producer!!!!

The problem is that Terri does not have a disease process nor is she terminal. Why a DEATHBED? Why does this monster still have a license to practice law?
Why does Hospice starve people every day but put a food tray in their room but place it out of reach? If anyone tries to feed a patient who asks for food, they are banned from that patient's room. THE PATIENT WILL DIE FROM STARVATION, NOT NATURAL CAUSES. These are actual accounts from patient visitors. FV
