LETS PLAY TWO!!! D.C. CHAPTER Vs. ANSWER DOUBLEHEADER, OCT. 25 IN D.C.

In the spirit of the World Series, the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic and fellow patriots will be playing a daylight doubleheader against the commies from A.N.S.W.E.R. this Saturday in our nation's capital.

Game 1: The Freedom Rally Against Terror and Tyranny to support our troops vs. A.N.S.W.E.R./U.F.P.J.'s "anti-war," anti-Bush, anti-American rally. Start time 11 a.m.

Game 2: Counter-demonstration at Pershing Park along A.N.S.W.E.R.S's march route. Start time 1:30 p.m.

Pershing Park is located at 15th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.

This is a permitted counter-demonstration. All attendees must obey the law and abide by the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting. Violating the law (federal and/or D.C.) can subject you to arrest and a long weekend waiting to be processed. Violating the D.C. Chapter's rules can give the permit holders cause to have you removed from our permitted area.

Briefly, the D.C. Chapter's rules are: No violence, no racism, no profanity, no provocations, obey they law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

We will explain other site-specific rules on scene. If you do not feel you can control yourself in the face of flag-desecration, profuse cursing, ubiquitous obscene gestures and provocations from the other side, please do not come to Game 2. You are welcome at Game 1, however, as the rallies themselves are being held 14 blocks apart.

The weather forecast is for sunny skies with temps in the low 60s.

Please bring American, Gadsden and service flags, along with signs bearing messages of support for our troops.

I heard this morning (Saturday) as they were showing an anti-war speaker, Fox mentioned another ralley supporting the war to also be held. They said more on that later.

Both of these rallies were un-original and predictable -- with ideologues from both sides regurgitating their pet clichés.

As expected, the "anti-war" crowd converted the rally from a principled opposition to the warfare state into one of bashing the Bush administration, engaging in ad hominem attacks, lacing public discourse with profanity, promoting irrelevant "causes" and otherwise missing the boat. This group persuaded no one today ... and may very well have turned some people off.

On the Right, you also had your share of sloganeering, clichés and ad hominem attacks, with protest signs demonstrating the usual confusion over what it means to be a patriot and an American.

On net, nothing changed today ... except a few people getting satisfaction from thinking all their brow beating and righteous indignation actually accomplished something meaningful.

But what we lack in numbers, we will more than make up for in intelligence, spirit, good humor, clean hair, teeth.

Come on! this is A.N.S.W.E.R. were talking about, could we set the bar a bit higher. I've seen winos with better hygiene and more inteligence!
