You are right, I've heard or read "nominee" numerous times in the last couple of months. But, thinking back, though I know people are nominated, names are never published in metropolitan newspapers in advance, are they?
Several years ago, three men won the Nobel Economics category, & split the prize money for their 40-year study of world economics. All three declared the system a game, such as playing poker or chess.
Two of the men were Americans, living in different areas of the United States, I believe, and the third was a European. I've never been able to find anything else on them - lost the news clipping & can't recall their names.

He he! You are so funny! My children are OK. They listen pretty good. All I was really trying to say is "read my lips, she is not comatose".

One doctor who at this point and probably forever who remains nameless REFUSED to treat Terri at MPH because they got letters that Felos was going to sue their *****. But, then a real doctor did his job and began treatment. Heard in passing at the Vigil. We were really hot tonight when the ambulances took Terri away with a police escort. It was good that she actually ended up at MPH but during transport, Michael S. was still the guardian because the hearing was still going on.
NOW GOVERNOR BUSH IS TERRI'S GUARDIAN TEMPORARILY. HOW KEWL IS THAT? I only fault Jeb for not whipping the legislature into shape sooner so that Terri wouldn't have had to suffer this past week and now she has to recover too. REMEMBER, THAT MOST OF THE JUDGES WERE DEMOCRATS and some of the GOP wanted to starve Terri but people at the Vigil and via Glenn Beck and Free Republic read those GOP the riot act.
At the moment that Jeb signed the Executive Order and the news media broke the story, the crowd went wild. Yay! I was working the table where we were copying the faxed Executive Order from Jeb. WE SAVED TERRI, SET A PRECEDENT AND MADE HISTORY. Everybody who moved this story from state to state, nation to nation, you rock.

This guy on Nightline now ( a Senator?) who isn't being allowed to say a whole sentence, is saying that this is an unusual case, but it really isn't. People unable to speak for themselves are being starved and dehydrated all the time when it takes too long for them to die. When it's done with a living will that's one thing.

This Jesuit Priest on Niteline is unbelievable
He just stated that there is no question that Terry is alive, and then goes on about her right to die
Sorry Father, what you just stated was it is ok to murder her and that is against EVERYTHING the Catholic Church teaches

Catholic priest advocating removal of hydration/nutrition and Senator Daniel Webster answering Koppel's questions about how long do they wait to see if Terri gets better. Ted just asked if MSchiavo's 'fiance and child' entered into the Florida legislators' decision.

I saw the footage of Terri in the ambulance parked at the hospital. As it turned out, they were taking very good care of her. Can you imagine the repercussions if even a hair on her head was harmed? Feel better and when the rehydration is complete, maybe tomorrow she'll have surgery for the port for the feeding tube. Please follow Terri's condition at Bay News 9.com or visit terrisfight.org.

And I might add that when Christopher Reeves first had his accident .. that they were going to pull the plug but ended up not doing so .. And Reeves himself said he was glad that they didn't And I'll add to your add that HE wanted the plug pulled and his wife had a FIT. Obviously, she talked him out of it.

I just now recieved this from Speaker Byrd of the Florida House. Thought you might like to see it.
*****************
Thank you for contacting me to express your concerns regarding Terri Schiavo. I value your input on this important matter.
During the past year, the Florida House has faced difficult choices in many areas. We have crafted legislation regarding the budget, healthcare, workers?compensation, and prescription drug relief for Floridians. Presently, legislation is being considered to address the victims of legal dehydration and starvation deaths.
Every Floridian has a right to determine their own treatment, and anyone who has executed an advanced directive has the right to have his or her instructions carried out. Where there is no disagreement among family members, present law does not appear to create reasons for legislative intervention. However, the Terri Schiavo case raises troubling concerns that the proposed legislation would address.
The bill passed by the House in Special Session on Monday night would allow the Governor to issue a moratorium to stop contested legal dehydration and starving deaths in Florida in certain instances. The moratorium would give the Legislature time to assess our current law.
With our pledge to protect the most vulnerable, I strongly believe that someone needs to be a voice for the voiceless like Terri Schiavo.
Again, thank you for contacting me. I will take your comments to heart and give them careful consideration as we address the issue of contested legal dehydration and starvation cases.
Very truly yours,
Johnnie Byrd
Speaker

I would like to take this opportunity as a practicing Catholic to apologise for the apostate Jesuit Priest on Nightline arguing for the starvation of Terri Schiavo.

Doesn't Singer argue that infants aren't "sentient"....they cannot contemplate their own existence...or some such drivel?
Singer surely would approve of the attempts to execute, by torturous starvation, Terri Schiavo. Step by step, the ghouls seek to extend their agenda of death and destruction. Roe v. Wade was a big win. Defense of "partial birth abortion". Would it shock anyone to find out their vision of the future is a "Soylent Green"?
"For the good of society, precious medical resources will be saved by 'eliminating' the burdens imposed upon caregivers by the infirm. 'Elimination' of those burdens by death for the retarded, the infirm, the chronically ill, the elderly, the deformed, the mentally ill, the seriously injured."
Hitlerian?
Maybe so. Would it be a further stretch for those same "ethicists" to become politicized and add Jews, Christians or Conservatives to their lists of the "addled"?
Making sure Terri Schiavo has a chance to live isn't just what's right and good and moral. It's a stand against creeping genocide. Allow them to kill Terri Schiavo and the ghouls would want to cite that as precedent for eliminating MS, MD, CF and Alzhiemers sufferers in a dark and frightening "Brave New World".
Sorry....but *I* don't trust 'em!
To: windchime
You know, that's an odd thought. The existence of that girlfriend and her illicit offspring may have saved Terri's life tonight. If this guy had lived a celibate life and maintained an outward appearance of the devoted husband, just doing what the little woman wanted, he could have gotten away with this.
