UPDATE FROM TERRI'S VIGIL SITE ON LOCATION... by floriduh voter and drk4the1: TERRI IS NOT BEING RE-HYDRATED AT MORTON PLANT HOSPITAL IN CLEARWATER, FL. The Governor's Office is under the impression and reporting that the procedure started at 7:07 pm. While it's being reported to the family attorney that she is not going to receive anything. A telephonic hearing is scheduled to begin at 8:30 pm est with Judge Douglas Baird re: Michael Schiavo's suit against Gov. Bush and his executive order of today. Additionally, Michael S. is disputing his removal as Terri's legal guardian. Anything helpful appreciated. Contact floriduh voter or the drk screen name. We are outside fighting the mosquitoes. Hi! Thank you! No, I have to limp through 5 more weeks of incredibly insulting Educrat classes, then in the spring I student teach. But meanwhile I do volunteer work tutoring over at the local youth boot camp, and might be able to teach soon at an adult prison nearby. Soon I'll be a full-fledged teacher, on a roll and takin' no prisoners. Can't wait.

You know, in all this joy I'd almost forgotten about her. At this point, she's probably legally clear of the conspiracy to murder Terri, but knows a lot about it. I wonder if she might seek protective custody and start singing.

Yeah, me too. I've been anxious all night. I pray that she has held up and hasn't been too injured. I hope she's shielded from the plots against her now.

This was nothing short of a miracle. Hearing the legislature mirror all of our thoughts, and tackling the problem when it did not appear they wanted any part of it is just a miracle.

BTW, someone mentioned her father was on CNN. What did he say?

NO!! The Courts ruling is null and void. It has been overruled and that facility has been ORDERED to start the re-hydration!! The national guard or the Police Force staying outside there need to be reported and disciplined. This is a Stalling tactic, pure and simple. I don't usually recommend civil disobedience but I do here.

Relax... the only person I know of (cplife.org) who reported an email from on location that the court order had been defied DID come back and did report that the IV was now in and she is being hydrated. Yay!

I guess my point is that if we are to learn from Terri's case, we must allow for the right of the patient to prevail. And if this means not intervening and saving a patients' life if they have a DNR... then how is that much different than increasing the morphine drip for a terminally ill cancer patient? Isn't that the same idea?
