You need to stop listening to the outer-fringe witch doctors.Actually, we've been looking at the videos of her looking around, making eye contact, smiling... but don't let that affect your judgement any. Just listen to the nice newscaster.

or whether God wants a person in a permanent vegetative state kept alive by a machine for decades or not. I guess that meanings Christopher Reeves should be unplug, because that is the only thing keeping him alive

The Florida legislature just voted overwhelmingly to give life a chance and you choose to take your teeth out at the dinner table. Give it a rest.
To: ChemistCat
Wouldn't it be great if that new company that was the reason for the FL Legislature to have the special session in the first place, produced the answer that got Terri TALKING again?

"I sure picked a bad day to give up alcohol." lol Just join me for a nice Carmel Latte!!...LOL Eh...congrats on the - 37# Ladysmith. South Beach???

She didn't write a living will.
She's not vegetative (see the video and use your common sense).
Her parents report she can swallow and be fed...and therefore may not need the machine at all...but her unfaithful husband will not allow it.
Her husband is clearly not focused on Terri's best interest. He has changed his stance radically after he had acess to a lot of money and he has not been true to her. If he felt compelled to leave her for this other woman...why didn;t he divorce her then and let the parents take care of their daughter that he no longer wanted.
So...clearly there is doubt, great doubt about what Terri wants...and in such cases you err on the side of life.
That's what Bush did...that's what the state legislature did...and now that is what is going to happen.
...and I AM thankful to God for it.

I'm sure they'll just keep shopping for a judge to hear them!!

My brother has terminal cancer, and his doctors sent someone to his house to discuss how he wants to die.
I'm glad it's going to be decided beforehand. I would hate to figure that out when a loved one is suffering.

I want to send her some flowers ASAP and maybe a beautiful picture of Jesus and Mary! If she's in intensive care, she may not be able to have flowers in there.

I always thought he was rather cute. :-)I guess he's a reasonably handsome man, but I go more for the Laurie Dhue type. ;-)

How can this be, when the order says it must begin immediately? Are we sure this is true? Not doubting your word, just mean could this just be rumors? I pray it isn't true, and that the creep who pretends to be the husband is taken out of the picture.
