Freepers, we need your help NOW! This is coming to you from Terri's family, live from the vigil site.
Jeb Bush has called an emergency special session and they will take it up 8:05am eastern time.IF the measure passes, Terri's execution will be stayed and feeding/hydration will resume immediately. She will be SAVED if this bill passes.
We need you ALL to call the Florida Legislative Branch - House and Senate. They can be found at
http://www.floridasoundoff.com/browse/pol_contact.htm
All contact numbers and emails can be found at this url.
Terri is still alive and she's starting to really feel the effects of dehydration. Her skin is starting to crack, and she is in pain - but TERRI IS FIGHTING TO LIVE. This is NOT over. By the Grace of God, she is still alive. If Terri is willing to fight, we have an obligation to fight along side her. No matter where you are tonight, or where you are registered to vote, we need you to call these Florida Legislators NOW.

Perhaps the person who deserves the most heat is James King, the "king" of the FL Senate. He has ulterior personal interests in the die-by-hunger-and-thirst (er, hospice) industry. King is able and willing to stop this bill from seeing the Senate all by his lonesome.

I just emailed all the State Reps.! I pray this measure passes.

Gov. Bush calls special session over Terri Schiavo
Excerpt:
TALLAHASSEE, FL -- Florida Governor Jeb Bush is stepping in to help save the life of a brain-damaged Florida woman. He is calling a special session of the Florida legislature on Monday.
At that time, Florida's Speaker of the House Johnnie Byrd is scheduled to introduce "Terri's Bill." The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up today outside a Pinellas Park hospice.

Wasn't me that started the devoted thread, folks, it was nickcarraway.
If I linked to a duplicate that went up after someone already started one, sorry. Nickcarraway's thread looked very complete with lots of contact info though, and time is of the essence so I'm pinging and linking like mad :)

From here, all Senators have been emailed and King, James has been too.
Once personally and the auto-email, @

May You, Lord Jehovah be there with her through this.
Lord, You are the water of life!
Be that precious water, to Terri in this darkness.

From the Newsday column
She's been heard to grown, [sic] and moan, has appeared to smile or grimace
I guess the author, Sheryl McCarthy is bothered by noises, but I know someone made a typo. More of the column...
What's happening in Florida resembles the vigils we often see prior to an execution. This isn't an execution though. This is the rational ending to a human being who all the medical evidence says can no longer meaningfully participate in or appreciate life
Have you no heart, Sheryl McCarthy?

I get that also. But if you check in your "sent folder", it may have gone through.
We changed providers and somehow the mail client didn't like the change I guess.
I need to call them. But I haven't had the time to wait............and wait.................
