Hi, friends. It's 9:50 p.m. Thursday night. The 24/7 Vigils since Tuesday have had at least several people for every hour since it began. I just came to report that much is going on behind the scenes and we have even more people at Hospice this evening. I hope everyone caught Hannity & Colmes. If not, please watch the replay later tonight if you can.
GOP and GWB Man has been here 24/7 and I've almost done the same. I met the lady from Not Dead Yet Organization and other folks who have flown in from other parts of the country to show support for Terri.
The message for tonight is KEEP CALLING GOVERNOR BUSH. That is the message I'm requesting until you hear otherwise from the front line at the Hospice Vigil. Oh, and keep praying. We are all sunburn and getting tired but we are standing with the Schindlers and they are feeling stronger because we are there for them around the clock.
Can't give any updates. If you've been watching tv or listening to the radio, you already realize that the media has woken up. THERE ARE SATELLITE TRUCKS, new people every day from all over the country, roses presented to us by a local florist, free food and beverages, the kindness of strangers is in abundance. I'll report back tomorrow. I'm going back to remain all night long. This is the biggest freep I've ever been to. The lawn in front of Hospice looks like your living rooms. We have moved in and are standing tall. God Bless America. God Bless Florida. FV

Summer, please tell everyone to have hope. We are attending the vigils everyday, even as Terri has missed three feedings. People should continue to call the Governor and their legislators which is in their phone books. Thank you so much, FV (back to the front lines).
P.S. There are also alternate freeps at the courthouse in Clearwater FL. People can get that address from phenn. Bye, back to Terri.

(SNIP) Mr. Schindler said he was not worried about his daughter's dying just yet. The feeding tube was removed once before, for 60 hours, he said, and she suffered no consequences.
"If it was 10 minutes to 2 on Sunday afternoon," Mr. Schindler said, "I'd be very, very concerned. She's good for the next three to four days."

floriduh's report that Terri has not had three feedings is cause for increased prayer ... that translates to 72 hours, 12 hours beyond the time the first tube was reinserted. Terri's Dad on Sean's radio program today was using 60 hours as a benchmark before the body begins to break down.
Heavenly Father, I pray that You will be the strength that Terri needs during these hours ... cause her to withstand physically the onslaught that has gripped her ... comfort her parents, for they have walked this way before, but are now beyond the original time ... they are into new territory ... keep them hopeful, even as we are hopeful ... may they be sustained by our continuing prayer on their behalf, and for their beloved daughter.
Send relief, I pray, dear Father ... bring this child back from the brink, for I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen ...

Without human medical intervention the feeding tube - God would allow her to die.
Without food you would die as well. Terri can swallow and *HAS* already ate some pudding. She does not need the feeding tube to live, she probably never did.
Her "husband" wants her dead so she can't tell the world he tried to kill her.
Without your parents feeding you when you were a baby, you would have also died without intervention from God almighty.

There is a difference between guardianship and ownership. A person who is under guardianship still enjoys basic rights that are to be protected either by the state or the nation. In this case, the overriding law is a very basic one. It is the basic right to life, unable to be broken even because of physical disability.
The courts are completely disregarding Terri's basic protected right to life as stated unequivocally in the Florida Constitution, and are bestowing ownership to her husband. To be a guardian is to protect your charge, not be hell-bent on killing them. Ownership on the other hand denotes property that one can do with as they please.
Sorry folks, I'm not addressing any person in particular here. It's just late and we've been appalled at this injustice to one who is defenseless. There are rights and wrongs, and this is wrong.
The courts have decided, on hearsay of one side, that this woman is disabled and therefore may be put to death. This is not even the supreme court, and the hearsay is tainted by interests other than those of the victim. One irregularity would be distressing, two, a cause for alarm, but the sheer number of factors actively working against Terri is unfathomable; from judges, lawyers and media with right-to-die agendas to husbands with financial, adulterous and criminal interests, to ignorance of the masses...

IF YOU ARE CONVINCED AS I AM THAT THIS IS ABUSE -- THEN call the FL abuse hotline (info to follow)
You know, I have to wonder why this wasn't done years and years ago. I'd like to think that if my little sister were in this situation, by the end of the first year, seeing the husband was deliberately withholding medical and therapeutic care, my family would have done something legal or otherwise to get her out of there. Now that it's down to her starving to death in a matter of days, I am rather amazed that they haven't gone in there, armed, and TAKEN her away.
In my career I have traveled all over the world. This is where we have to make the stand...just as our forefathers did.
...and we will receive the same support of Providence that they did if we are willing.
We saw that in action in Klamath
And you are just bashing Republicans because?
I am first and foremost a parent. My children are leaving this country, and my husband and I are taking them.
The best stand I can make is to move to a place where my disabled children can live in peace and safely from the prevailing culture and judicial monarchy.
We will pray for all of you from our new home, and it is going to be awhile. We're roughly planning on about 4 years till we make the move.
My point is that based on my own travels abroad, there is no safer place.
Move to a very conservative western state and live in a small rural town with a lot of Christian churches...that would be my advise for the best place.
Again...God's best to you.
If the Florida Supremes decide against Terri tonight around midnight, then hopefully, Terri's attorneys will go to plan "next".
However, this turns out, someone should do a Thank You Thread for everyone who helped Terri on the internet or in person.
I used the word unenforceable deliberately. I can't believe that a law that enables anyone to starve someone else to death simply for being imperfect, without the victim's express, written consent, exists and is enforced by the courts. It utterly boggles my mind.
Prayers for Terri's family, for Terri, and for the misguided people putting her to death.
Further, Hubby Michael Schiavo's attorney dared Jeb Bush to go see Terri for himself. That was in today's St. Pete Times. Hubby is in hiding now.
The mother of his live-in girlfriend is hubby's rep in Terri's room and there are nine body guards outside her room. Hubby's rep is even reluctant to give Terri A PILLOW. If that doesn't make everyone want to come here and join the Vigil and talk to the media, I don't know what would move someone.
You know the expression "you had to be there"? Well, that is the only way to explain what is happening at Hospice of the Suncoast Pinellas.
There is a difference between people who are misguided and people who have chosen to be evil. Of course, most people who have chosen to be evil do not think they are evil. But they are.
Likewise, it could be that Terri, after all she has been through, does not allow her brain to register Michael's presence. Or his stupid doctors. She didn't even like one of those nurses who first took care of her, but after awhile, she understood that the nurse was not against her, and then she started responding to her. I don't remember which one, but it was one of the ones who filed an affidavit around Labor Day. Terri's not stupid, and she's in there. It breaks my heart that the court allows this to happen to anyone.
This is amazingly easy to visualize.
