Thanks for all your work, but it seems not to impress Jeb Bush, the only person who can do anything to stop a murder and seemingly is hesitant to do so. No matter how much evidence is put forward by so many diligent posters here, Jeb says it is insufficient for him to intervene. He keeps talking about "our courts." Not too long ago he even said there was "no evidence" that Schiavo had abused his role as guardian, despite all the testimony to the contrary. Jeb in his brief called Terri a "PVS" case, incorrect of course.

When Schiavo verbally attacked Jeb in September, the governor said nothing. Similarly, when George W. Greer ridiculed him, he said nothing.

Now he says his lawyers cannot determine whether he can intervene.

Is he "Hamlet"? Or is the line from "Macbeth" more appropriate: "Macbeth, doth murder sleep?"

I don't see how he can look at his handsome face in the mirror if he lets Terri die?

re: Michael Schiavo's Mercedes....

My thoughts are that Michael (and Felos) already have a lucrative "Right to Die" book contract and if he does have a new Mercedes, its the result of his first advance.

Well it seems to me that George W. Greer must be popular in the Tampa Bay area, or Jeb would not be so hesitant to take action. He can intervene on the grounds of fraud in the court decision. He can sort out the niceities later. George W. Greer was elected on the same day that Jeb was. And George W. Bush lost Pinellas Co., whereas Greer won the plebiscite two years earlier. So he is at least as popular as George W. Bush there.

People in FL seem to vote routinely for liberal judges, probably based on name recognition, rather than knowledge of the candidate's judicial philosophy.

Okay, I may have missed this, but how did they skip so many feedings? Is that not in direct violation of the order, which allowed the tube removed? I just wish I could meet this son of a bitch on a steet corner on a cold dark night with no witnesses.

How can they not even give her swallowing tests. She swallows her own saliva with no problem- if this was not the case I'd think they'd have to get her on some kind of suction.

That's another thing I want to know, as well. They said that the fact that she does not drool is proof that she is able to swallow. A FReeper was on a few nights ago, and they finally brought his father around by putting a drop of ice cream on his tongue. Apparently his father always loved ice cream! It worked! It is obvious except to most thinking people who do not have their vision and minds clouded by 'our courts' and the 'rule of law', that Terri is NOT PVS, would probably love to have a bite to eat and a glass of water to drink. The plan for Terri is also clear: she must die to serve Machiavelian agendas. May fire come down from heaven.....

I just spoke with an aid to Gov. Bush, neither he or his secretary where in. However, the aid said she would pass along a brief messsage.

I told her to please tell the governor that by not interfering it is too much like the old Soviet Union, not America.

I still have not seen news of the press conference. I did see this sad article, which makes me think all parties who might call a conference are engaged in the legal fight:

Bless you. Pardon my bad memory, for not remembering who. I've heard so many touching stories here the past few weeks. I have never felt so connected to FReepers. I have heard so many tales of hardship such as one FReeper who says she is dying of cancer. I wanted to go back and respond, but I lost the thread. I will go back and save all the Terri threads, and hopefully be able to touch base with some who fell through the cracks for me. I want you all to know, though, that I love you all, am praying for all of us, and I keep praying that God is working a mighty miracle. We will see. Keep up the faith, and keep praying. Whenever two or more.....

Terri's parents are warriors, no doubt about it. It is completely bizarre to me that one judge, one attorney, and one husband can combine to put an innocent to death -- while those who have some possibility of intervening stand passively by.

I understand the importance of the rule of law. I do not understand why bureaucrats sit and watch when something as wrong as this continues. Terri does not have to die for somene to recognize that classifying food and water as artificial life support is a bad policy and that the law has overreached and become what should be unenforceable.

Selective interpretation of artificial life support + selective interpretation of PVS + not only disconnecting the tube, but REFUSING to allow anyone to try to feed her or provide her with water = Innocent blood on the hands of those who made or let this happen.

Still hoping for a miracle.

Is it possible that there could be a conflict between what the outside legal team thinks is permissible, and what Jeb's own counsel believes is permissible?

And what the state attorney general says is permissible.
