On Monday, Oct 13, at noon, family and friends of Terri Schindler-Schiavo will begin a round-the-clock vigil on at Woodside Hospice located at 6774 102nd Ave N, Pinellas Park (66th St N & 102nd Ave).

Terri is scheduled to have her feeding tube removed on Wednesday, Oct 15, at 2:00 pm. A policeman will be posted at Terri's door at the hospice in order to keep the parents out. Michael Schiavo, the husband, has ordered that the does not want family and friends near Terri.

Please join us at Woodside Hospice anytime - day or night - calling on Governor Jeb Bush to use his executive power to save Terri's life. Your presence will be welcomed for any length of time.

Randall Terry would like as many people as possible to call or send an e-mail to Gov. Bush. If you do call or send a message, please thank him for acting as "amicus curiae" (friend of the court) on behalf of Terri.

Terri is disabled, but she is not in a coma or in a persistant vegetative state. She is fully aware of her surroundings and responds to people around her. She laughs and smiles when her parents visit her. Last night, her parents told me that she says "yes", "no", "hello." This may not sound like much, but it shows that Terri is not in a coma as her husband claims. Terri also told her parents that she does not want to be starved to death.

Randall Terry of Operation Rescue will hold a press conference at noon on Monday, Oct 13th. He will also have a press conference on Tueday at noon and Wednesday at 2:00 pm. If you live in the Tampa Bay area, please join us for the vigil.

It is inconceivable that a judge has ordered the death of an innocent woman. We need to do everything in our power to help Terri.

If they put forward a false date, and it contradicts court testimony, they will get called on it. If they put forward a true date that's longer ago than they care to admit, then it weakens their case.

I read the highway2health piece about the 24 hour thing but I don't like their idea. The reality that I am pulling for does not allow any harm to come to Terri. That means no surgical removal of feeding tube and no dehydration or starvation on Oct. 15 at 2PM. Anyways here is some info from another list on yahoogroups [helpterri].

Here is an update from today.

Because this vigil for Terri was arranged just late last night, we weren't too prepared and didn't have as many people as we will from now on. There were a huge number of police there - ridiculous! - and they weren't very pleasant. There was no response from anyone inside Woodside.

There was good media coverage. The NY Times was there, good coverage on Channel 9 locally, CBS and CNN covered it, I did an interview with some radio person (secular, not a Christian one). The other local news were all there.

Hannity and Colmes on Fox are going to do a bit tonight. Also, http://www.Highway2health.net is going to do a 24 hr. a day coverage dedicated to Terri.

Someone told me one of the news channels said the Gov. was preparing a response - that could mean anything. PLEASE keep the pressure on him to do something. He does have the authority to rescue her.

What I do know is that very little of what is being portrayed by Schiavo and Felos makes sense. You tell me, why won't Michael divorce Terri, if he cares nothing for her anymore, if she's just a "houseplant" (that's how she's referred to in court by them, you know)? He's aleady fathered one child by his live-in fiancee (his words), and another is on the way. They plan to marry as soon as Terri's dead, so why not divorce her? If you are so ready to go along with everything they've been saying, then why don't you play the same devil's advocate game with them? Or will their information be good enough for you?

I'm not begging Jeb Bush to do anything. I am simply asking my family to attend. My brother is a minister, as are two of my cousins. We have family all over that part of Florida, as well as the east coast and the Keys.

Right now, I don't like the Florida courts very much at all. I'm also beginning to wonder if the parents are really fighting this as hard as they could.

I don't know anything about the highway2death thing. I am 100 percent behind you. Since when did we let the Nazis rule this country. This has to stop NOW. The only reason this country has not revolted is because they don't know what the hell has been going on this country for too long. This is a wake-up call. When America wakes up, watch out! In spite of the propaganda Americans have had their teeth cut on, they still believe the myth that this is a free country. Take that away from them, and these people are going to have a problem. If any harm comes to Terri.....It just better not.
