President Donald Trump's sole Republican primary challenger, former Gov. Bill Weld, said Wednesday that his campaign raised $688,000 from donations during the second quarter of 2019.
The Weld campaign told ABC News that since jumping into the race in mid-April, they've raised short of $700,000 from 7,000 total donors. And on top of supporter contributions, the former Massachusetts governor also poured $181,000 of his own money into the campaign, bringing the second quarter total to $869,000. The average donation for the quarter was $98, according to the campaign.

$700k will last you about three weeks in Iowa and its pre-Caucus period.
What about the McMuffin guy...will he be a player in 2020?
Only in the furry community.
Is there any way Weld will qualify for a debate with Trump?
This guy is smoking! I dont mean catching up on Trump, I means smoking crack. Next to him the Dem clowns look smart.
Bill Weld is a DRUNK!
I think he comes from a long-time political family, I think he’s running this time, to maybe be more established for the next time.
Sort of anti-Trump, so I doubt he’ll amount to beans, next time too.
If PDJT wins reelection look for Don Jr in 2024.
I am not a fan of political dynasties but it is rather obvious that Jr. is getting his ducks in a row
Most Americans, myself included, don’t know anything about Weld, and if he makes it to the Iowa and New Hampshire races, the MSM will kill his campaign by not mentioning him once. They are more interested in Democrat clowns.
This Derp State Clintonista has been running for office since 1978.
If there is any attempt at a Trump dynasty, I think it will first come from Ivanka, not Don Jr.
Don Jr. is mostly known today for making wisecracks and clever jabs about crazy Liberal behavior.
Little Sister Ivanka is mostly known today for accompanying her father or her husband to several high profile policy meetings, and at times giving speeches to this group about her social concerns, such as better child care choices for working women.
Yes, Ivanka is still a democrat at heart, but she presents herself in a very polished, mature and professional way at all times. Both always show great loyalty and support for their father.
Don Jr. is still traveling around with Kim Guilfoyle, the older woman who helped break his marriage up. That marriage with five kids that he seemed to walk away from.
Appearances beget perceptions.
Unfortunately, Ivanka following her dad as President would be like GHW Bush following Reagan. She’d undo all the good that was done by her father and a Demonrat would follow her after a single, disastrous term.
I think it is almost sinful for these “also ran” types to put their hats in the ring and take campaign $$$$ from the uninformed, easily swayed, and down right stupid.
Guess who those votes will be going to in 2020?
he’s another Romney except for the drinking and the fancy underwear thing
I could be wrong (and I’m out of town on a slow connection), but I’m not sure that $700K would have gotten him into the first Democrat debate.
Maryanne Williamson had over $1M. Now there were 5 Democrats who hadn’t filed with the FEC, so we don’t know how much money they’ve got.
680k was from the Bush family, the other 8k from Hillary
Woa!! Weld’s got Trump on the ropes now.
He’s not there to actually win anything.
no, what I have discovered is that having a campaign is a way to receive monies and payola from the grateful.
