‘The tea party is largely gone. It was replaced with ... the general philosophy of the party now under Trump’

The Libertarian Party has urged Rep. Justin Amash to consider mounting a third-party challenge to President Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election.

The Michigan Republican told his hometown paper that while he would not “rule out” a bid, he has not completely “thought through” his plans.

I think he should go for it. Will mark the end of his political career.

It appears the strategy of the anti-trumpets in the GOP, possibly in collusion with the Democrats and Soros, is going to be denying Trump the win in 2020 by running an independent to take away enough moderate GOP votes to shift the popular vote to Dems in close states.

There is a natural evolution going on here. The patriot and progressive corportist wings of the GOP have diametrically opposed agendas. The GOP can only be the “not Democrats” party for so long until the party naturally splits apart. Never Trumpism has proven the corportist wing of the GOP (Romney, etc.) prefers progressive Democrats to the GOP base voters(us). If they are successful in defeating Trump the blow back will be immense. The Party of Lincoln as we know it will be gone forever.

Justin Amash is neither Republican nor libertarian. He has abandoned any principles that define either one of them.

He is now full-blooded RINO and a closet Progressive. It would not be surprising to learn he has also become Muslim, though I doubt it for the moment.

Levin had his primary opponent on last night. He said Amash was a “party of one.” Also that Amash has only had one bill passed in 10 years in Congress. A post office renaming! LOL.

Your concern is noted. However, Trump easily won Ohio.

Thanks for the ping. Good to see this info is getting some attention.

It’s a shame to see too many Rs are not actually conservatives.

Liberal-tarians are Democrats who are so ashamed of what their true leanings would lead to they invented a party to cover their guilt. They are like Sunday morning gays who tell themselves they were drunk and didn’t know what they were doing last night.

This election is clearly Trump vs. not-Trump. People are either happy to vote for more Trump or desperate to vote for anybody else.

ALL third party candidates help Trump by splitting the not-Trump vote.
