Trump Is a ‘Blowhard,’ ‘I Don’t Like Him’ and I Voted for Hillary, George Bush Says in New Book
Newsweek ^ | November 4, 2017 | Greg Price

Both former President Bushes had choice words for current President Donald Trump in a new book scheduled to be published later this month, with the elder Bush reportedly calling the billionaire commander-in-chief a “blowhard” and flatly stating he does not “like” him.

Presidents George Bush and George W. Bush, the 41st and 43rd top executives respectively, spoke to author Mark K. Updegrove for the book “The Last Republicans.” It detailed the relationship between the father-and-son presidents and how they were fretful of what Trump had done to the Republican Party.

Furthermore, both ex-presidents admitted they did not vote for Trump. The elder Bush pulled the lever for Democrat Hillary Clinton while the younger told Updegrove he voted for “none of the above.”

“I don’t like him,” George Bush said in May 2016 according to a The New York Times on Saturday. “I don’t know much about him, but I know he’s a blowhard. And I’m not too excited about him being a leader.

George W. Bush took umbrage with Trump’s divisive brand of political machinery, a common accusation the current president faced along the campaign trail as throughout his first year in office.....

I cannot understand how anybody can look at that corrupt bitch and vote for Hillary Clinton.

If Hillary had been elected 'elites' in DC would have done even better than they've done in the past. Five of the wealthiest ZIP codes in the country are clustered around Washington DC... those folks would have made out like bandits with Hillary as President - and SO WOULD THE BUSHES.

Money and Prestige... Hillary would have kissed Bush butt and kept the CHEAP LABOR EXPRESS RUNNING...

It’s hard to ban someone when they quote GWB. That’s all I did. Held up His actions to his words and asked what about Iran.

That’s probably true she just looked down on us and doesn’t understand us

The contradiction for me personally is 8 years in manhattan was pivotal in my transformation from centrist libertarian to now

I was involved with Columbia people via my paramour and Jewish 47th street office where I did business

Both very Left leaning environs

It drove a stake through the heart of any college years remnants of social revolutions i harbored

Insufferable elitism and disdain for what made us great

I found myself gravitating to Brooklyn Italians and Israelis who even if lefties lived America

The fact I was Mississippian of course was purloined

We had mississippi Day in Central Park around 96 east

Flew state flag and CBF

Blacks many with mississippi roots would come to eat the huge pic mix laid out with southern food and bbq

A lot of southern celebs would show up

Tom Wicker

Hodding Carter

Pat Derian

Tom Wolfe

Patrick Kelly of Chanel

Willie Morris

Beth Henley

The chairman of American Express

Kitty Carlisle of all people....,extremely southern blue blood CSA Jewish pedigree

Gloria Vanderbilt and 15 year old Andy in tow

And so on tons of music folks I didn’t know

Yes mostly libs it was Manhattan

Maybe 500 people

Can u imagine that today?

We are at war

Despicable, shallow, small minded men. Good of them to finally admit they’re Democrats. Sure explains a lot.

What a shame. Old man bush went from greatest generation war hero, to blowing his Kobe beef sick on Japanese dignitaries, to voting for Hillary Clinton.

In George’s defense, you can’t vote for a guy who rubs your brother’s nose in poo.

You can do it and say you didn't. Or just do it and shut up.

We all supported the Bushes because they were “republican” We have learned a lot about rino’s, the uniparty and the globalist agenda since then.

Bingo. I spent so many hours working for W.

I'll bet not one US Senator voted for Trump. Not one.

According to my records, these are the GOP Senators who endorsed Trump (alphabetical order):

Bob Corker TN
Richard Burr NC
Deb Fischer NE
Sen. Chuck Grassley IA
Mitch McConnell KY
Rand Paul KY
David Perdue, GA
Jeff Sessions AL

That top one's a corker, Isn't it? No telling how they or anyone else actually voted. Trump had a lot more support in the House.

My instincts tell me that no US Senators voted for Trump. Not one.

Sessions probably actually did. That was when they were still on honeymoon.

Bush-4l was just never that ambitious as a President to begin with.

One of his most popular accomplishments was boosting the career of Dana Carvey.

I’m pretty sure Ted Cruz endorsed Trump at some time during the election.

I didn’t vote for Perot, but I should have.

I did. He was on top of the economic and trade issues way back then, and everyone just mocked him. He got "deep stated" and couldn't take it when they threatened his daughter. Trump watched, took notes and waited.

We're from the Dallas area and [Perot] was well known as a great man and human being there. He was right about that "great sucking sound" too.

I loved when he said, "Voting for the Arkansas Governor is like voting for the manager of a Wal-Mart."

By the Bushs’ own logic, we should all have not voted for either of the Bushs. What a bunch of cry babies.
