Oh that’ll go over well.
In the 1800s there were boarding houses where men shared a bed, Buck up and quick asking for tax payer money.
I have no problem with it - as long as it’s subject to means testing.
How about staying out of DC, and stay in their areas. They do not need to be there, and everything , minus votes can be done through modern technology.
He must be going to work for a media company in DC or NYC.
He sure isnt "going home to spend more time with his family!"
Sadly we need to hang them from lamp posts. They just don't get it.
Build them a public housing unit, furnish it like the military does for our military. Heat and cool it with the sun and the wind. Whoever controls Congress gets to used the front door and the minority the back door. Roll call at 6:00 am, bed check at midnight.
ok, in exchange for term limits? These people are nuts. Then they act like princesses part of the oppressed victim of racism and mysogyny...
Wasn’t there a member awhile back who slept in his office? I guess it wasn’t Jason. Perhaps they should have dorms, if they absolutely have to be there.
No , they are already over paid .
They still have not done anything we sent them there to do.
Repeal Obamacare like they are supposed to do.
No working person in this country can go to their boss and say I should get an extra $30,000 a year to help pay my rent.
Good. Then stay in DC and do the work you were elected to do. No more summer recesses, winter recesses, easter recesses, 3 day work weeks, etc ...
I hear many sleep in their offices. Save a lot of money that way.
F to the no.
I have no problem with this as long as it stays within their own state. I didn’t elect them, I paid no taxes to cover their incidentals. If their state wishes to assist them then that’s up to the state, not the nation.

I would have a wage reduction with reductions based on non-defense spending cuts. I would have the formula set to take their salaries and benefits to Zer0bama, Zero, nada if they don’t meet goals that voters set. I would propose 50% cuts in non-defense cuts or no .govt employee gets paid.
Open squad bay barracks. A line of double bunks down both sides of the bay and a common latrine. An adjoining chow hall that serves basic nutrition and enough calories to get by, but nothing fancy. Dollar and a half limit spent per meal prep.
Politicals have to take turns on chow hall duty to fix the chow. Same with latrine duty.
The fam can stay in the home state home town. The politicals don’t spend all that much time in DC anyway.
That and 50 bucks a month spending cash and we’re still paying out way more than the value we get out of them.
Do they have Motel 6 in Washington DC? Stay there.
It’s only a problem for the first few weeks - until the kickbacks start rolling in. :)
