Buoyed by an uptick in national polling, Donald Trump is expected on Wednesday to outline the reasons he still thinks he can win heavily Democratic New York as he accepts the small but influential Conservative Party’s nomination for president.
Trump, who will deliver an evening address as the Conservatives wind up their convention at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, “thinks he can win New York, as difficult as that may seem to people out there, if the stars align correctly,’’ a senior Trump campaign operative told The Post.
“New York means a lot to Mr. Trump and he has not by any means given up on the state,’’ the operative said.
Longtime Conservative Party Chairman Mike Long told The Post, “I know how difficult it would be to win this state,” but he added Trump does have a shot.
“Trump’s numbers upstate are pretty good, and they’re pretty good on Long Island, so I don’t think it’s impossible that he could take New York. And I don’t see any real enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton out there, and that’s an indicator,’’ Long said....

If he takes Michigan and Pennsylvania, it will be a landslide. To get enough movement there to overcome the cheating, he will have had to take enough to put Virginia, Missouri, Iowa, and Colorado in his camp, probably more.

Yes, Trump can (and should) win NY. Along with PA, CT, and NJ. There are going to be a lot of “surprises” with supposedly “safe” blue states flipping red this time.
I have finally found a kindred spirit, that is, someone who flat-out refuses to accept the totally nuts red/blue assignments that were intentionally flipped by the lying media to confuse people. And the eternally insufferable stupid party minions have continued to go along with the lie without pushback. Red has ALWAYS meant commie. This red/blue idiocy to describe conservative/commie has been a major irritant to me because the supine RINOs have just rolled over, in typical gutless fashion, and have collaborated with the lie by endlessly repeating the red/blue conservative/commie nonsense.
But I think that Missouri and Michigan may go BLUE (meaning FOR Trump), too.
Can Trump win New York? Absolutely. He is +12 upstate and winning narrowing in the suburbs. She is at 63% in NYC well below Obama’s 79% average. Trump gets 20% in New York City which is double the 10% Republican registration. This means he is already Black and Hispanic votes because that’s the only place they can come from. Trump will at least put NYS in play enough to force her to spend money and energy on New York which is a good thing either way.

I live in the Capital District of New York State and Trump will absolutely win New York State. Upstate and Central NY and the Southern Tier are all enthusiastically in the majority for Trump and so are the conservative NYC outer boroughs and Long Island Counties.
The fact that the GOPe elites are not supporting Trump per this article in New York State (traitors) will mean nothing in this election.
Trump takes NY with one simple ad stating that Trump is a NY City kid who helped build the greatest city on earth while his lying opponent is a carpetbagger who came to NY to steal a senate seat. Throw in all the blacks and latino’s trump employs might be enough for him to win NYC. This includes the police union, who if they endorse Hillary deserve whatever happens to them.

Romney lost New York by 28 points. Trump will do well if he loses by only 20 points; a win is impossible. More working class white votes and turnout and a mix of more black support and lower black turnout maybe gets him 15 points of margin closing. But Asians, Muslims, Mexicans and non-Hasidic Jews really don’t care for him and that’s got to give back at least 5 points — so you’d expect him to do about 10 points better than Romney net, or a loss by 18 points.
Romney lost New Jersey and Connecticut by only 18 points. New Jersey demographics are tough — lots of Asian and Muslim immigrants — but Connecticut demographics are more friendly. That’s where he maybe gets the upset — excited white ethnics, unexcited African Americans, rich gentiles in Fairfield County swinging to Trump.
I don’t live in that area but a number of my friends do, and each of them say there simply are no Hillary bumper stickers but lots of Trump signs and stickers. Trump is seen as a New Yorker, and Hillary is seen as fake. Friends say she has zero support in the break rooms, with all the talk being about supporting Trump.
