Donald Trump has gotten a significant boost from his partys nominating convention last week; now, Hillary Clinton will try for her own.
Clinton and her supporters wont know for several days how much Thursdays acceptance speech will improve her standing with voters polls lag behind the events they measure because gathering accurate data takes time.
In Trumps case, the post-convention bounce started to show up in a significant way on Sunday in the USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times Daybreak tracking poll of the presidential race. The boost continued to build for several days and Trump now holds a 7-percentage-point lead, 47% to 40%....

Is the so-called “news” media dominated by Democrat shills?
Gee, you don’t think all the critics were journalists or Democrats, do you?
Clinton will get a bounce, likely even up the polls. Look at Fox’s Kelly who is fawning over Clinton, the first woman candidate (since what 1872?). Bounce a given but I think fleeting. My guess Trump will retake the lead and hold it through the election. He’ll benefit now for not going and hiding during the Dem convention.
Dream on, media pajama boy. The cawing and screeching of the local raven population is downright musical compared to the demon possessed screech fest I heard tonight.
It isn’t so much that HRC is a mass murderer wanna be. It’s the ones cheering for her that concerns me
Did Hillary finish speaking yet? I want to know what color and size the balloons were, before I make my decision.
Whether or not she truly does get a bounce, the polls will be manipulated to show her with one.
Seems like a nice time for another batch of Wikileaks documents (fingers crossed).
LOL - AND they'll love the Democrat convention and they'll be OH SO SURPRISED when there's no bounce...no bump... no molehill. Nothing. Nada. Zip.
Of course she will. Probably “double digits”. The DNC toads in the state controlled “media” have got her back. They’ll make it happen.
Hillary will only “gain” in her butt eating those golden
Wagyu Steaks with Barak & Michelle.
As I understand it there were no convention bounces in 2004, 2008, or 2012 for either side. Trump certainly broke the trend...but I’m not so sure Hillary will. But also not sure Trump’s bump will persist. She may slip ahead again before first debate...but I suspect she will be toast after it.
It would take a payment of stupendous amounts to force me to watch an entire Hillary speech. From the news excerpts, I gather the theme was “ladies, girls, I will never play the woman card.” Yeah right, but what other cards are you holding? Empathy? nope. Competence? nope. Reliability? nope.
Looks like a one-card flush to me.
“a convention that critics panned”
Gee, I must have missed all these experts who panned the RNC, I thought it was oustanding. Not that the Mediascum is ever speaking to me.....
I skipped it, but I read that it went for 58 min. The idea of listening to Shrillary’s voice for an hour ranks among the worst forms of torture known to humankind.
Hillary! and the DNC will be out this weekend manufacturing the “Big Bounce” polls....
I’d bet on a bounce. The women they described this week was pretty amazing. The things she said in her speech were very appealing to a wide range of voters.
But, in a couple of weeks most voters will remember the women we’ve known for over 2 decades and forget the women we heard about this week - the two are nothing alike.
A bunch of lies worked for Obama because we knew so little about him. It won’t work for Hillary.
And the “change maker” who will be “Obama’s 3rd term” doesn’t work once people think about the convention as a whole rather than each speaker independently. That kind of contradiction works for Ds who were going to vote for her anyhow. But undecideds will want to know which it is. Is everything good and she’ll be Obama’s 3rd term? Or are there problems that need a “change maker”? In this election, Trump is “change”.
The propagandists will invent a bounce
The poll sample will now be weighted 25% more Democrat as to show a massive bump, count on it
