We finally know who the major-party vice-presidential nominees are – Sen. Timothy M. Kaine of Virginia and Gov. Mike Pence of Indiana. Not surprisingly, much “veepstakes” speculation leading up to these announcements centered on the usual factors considered to be electorally advantageous: geography and demography.
But much of what you’ve been told about the importance of those usual factors is wrong. Based upon the available empirical evidence, it’s not at all clear that these candidate characteristics will have a significant effect on voters.
It’s true that voters may like a running mate more because he or she comes from the same state or belongs to the same demographic group as those voters. But rarely does this affect their votes. Except in extraordinary circumstances — such as when a running mate is extremely unpopular — people vote based on the presidential candidate, not the running mate....

I talked to some Catholics this morning who said abortion is the only area he strays from the Church’s teaching on Social Justice and they plan to vote for Him. It was pointed out to them that life is the most sacred and to those aborted the rest of it didn’t matter. No swaying those folks.

I did’t, except in the movies when the Mafia decides to eliminate someone, they will go up to the victim and give them a big kiss (kiss of death). I have been on jobs where we worked with men of Italian heritage and we would tease them about that.
I have seen historical documentaries on World War II and the Russian men would throw lip locks on each other at the drop of a hat. Strange indeed. I have read accounts of American soldiers using evasive measures to ward that off.

B)Kaine will certainly help in his home state but still doesn’t lock it up
C)VA is very important, Trump needs either VA or PA or his chances aren’t good.
