The Weekly Standard published An Open Letter to Mitt Romney on Tuesday night, begging the former Republican presidential nominee to launch a third-party bid.
[T]hese are extraordinary times, and your nation still has need of your service. I respectfully implore you to run for president as an independent candidate in 2016, Jay Cost wrote.
Cost slams presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clintons Nixonian paranoia of enemies and calls her Republican counterpart, Donald Trump, a sympathizer with the nativist alt-right.
They do not see Americans as Americans, the letter continues. They see each of us as potential allies or foes, depending upon their small-minded political calculations.
It ends by pleading Romney to run.
Governor Romney, there is nobody else but you who is capable of such a bid," Cost writes. Only you possess the experience, the political network, the good health, and the time to dedicate to this great endeavor [of launching a third-party bid].
The Weekly Standard was founded by Bill Kristol, a prominent Never Trump conservative who has been trying to recruit a third-party candidate.

Has to do with immigration, trade, neo-con foreign policy. Those are their priorities, and they know Hillary and Romney are on the same wave-length as they are on those issues.

I’m just afraid Trump doesn’t have a machine ground game in place.
Yeah, McCain should have taken Zero to the woodshed and not let up, but no, he did not.

They do this why?Because they are neo-cons. Neo-cons are liberal democrats that left the party because democrats don't like war enough.

It is a Corporatist magazine. In the context of American History that is an anti conservative stance. It is not necessarily Liberal but it is NOT conservative.
