I’m sorry to see that Rand can be so easily manipulated.
Still, there's just something odd about this bill, the timing of it, and the name.
Just a sign that we are driven more by personalities than by principles.
How about the “Rktman Volunteered, How Come He Didn’t Act”? Muzzie refusing to engage in combat? Not these days.
they could just as easily call the bill the Willard Mitt Romney Act...
another draft dodger...
Rand you ignoramus he did not want to go at first cause he wanted to continue to make money then later he claimed the religious excuse.
A fighter is a pacifist? BS...he wa a draft evader. Period.
In honor of Muhammad Ali, this morning, I had some cereal.
They’ve played this song too much. I’m bored by it.
Ali was NOI. They aren’t pacifists.
His conscientious objection was that he was for the enemy.
Ali, a Muslim and conscientious objector........... ????UH? Oxymoron?
The only thing Ali ever cared about was his own skin. The mighty “fighter” was a gutless COWARD!
The point is moot, there will never be another draft, it would simply be impossible even if we were invaded by another nation. Can you really picture these “special snowflake” social justice warrior millenials who are so hurt by an inconsiderate word that they need to go to their safe space actually showing up in a draft?!? Not only would they be burning their draft cards in the street, their enabling helicopter parents would be marching right beside them.
I don’t disagree with dropping the draft. But I do love the look of fear on the snowflakes face when they have to register. So,perhaps we should keep the process going just for our amusement.
LOL
This is a joke? right?
In honor of that hypocrite ......
Disgusting. Ali was a draft dodger.
I agree eliminated it, heck we are cutting people out of the military not adding to it.
There will come a time when the Draft will have to be used and then what? Perhaps we need to bring back the draft now.
A conscientious objector but his job is beating people to a pulp ,Insane
because a lot of rich white kids either got a deferment or went to college or got out of the draft. .................... or voluntarily joined the Reserve or National Guard to get out of it. In 62’ I found many of my fellow alumni classmates in the Army, some from very wealthy families, even Bobby Vinton and Brandon Dewilde were there. No one complained at being drafted, they did their two years and moved on. For most of us, it was a memorable time. Those who resisted can be compared to those who found outlets during WW II. When life provides you with a gravy train, you tend not to want to get off, when TSHTF let the other guys (volunteers) do the fighting. The only problem is, you eventually run out of the other guys. It would be nice if every country in the world decided to stop wars, but look at their record to date. All the money you have will not stop an enemy from packing you into a 48/8 to a resettlement area. If your country is not worth fighting for or to defend, why are you even here? If by chance we are invaded tomorrow, what role will you play?
