MILWAUKEE (AP) Donald Trump on Sunday called for John Kasich to drop out of the Republican presidential race, arguing that the Ohio governor shouldn't be allowed to continue accumulating delegates if he has no chance of becoming the nominee.
Working to recover his edge after a difficult week, Trump said it wasn't fair for Kasich, who has won only his home state, to continue his campaign. He suggested instead that Kasich, who has pledged to make it to the summer convention, follow the example of Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush candidates who quit after lagging behind.
"He doesn't have to run and take my votes," he said....

Trum making the case that the GOPe are going for the backstabbing at the convention.
Any opinion on whose votes he’s taking?
Trump for President.
Trump said he was shown that Kasich takes from him, not Cruz. I heard that Cruz and Kasich are actually meeting behind closed doors but didn’t give it much credence, might be true.
No idea.
Probably taking from Cruz by 60-40.
No they’re not. Romney tried to put them together and Cruz refused. It was posted here.
come on. Kasich hate cruz as much as he does trump.
has delusions of grandeur backed by the slimes
###### him.
I don’t think him dropping out makes much of a difference
Wouldn’t surprise me. They appeal to different voters so in that way they hurt shave off votes.
I’ll get the link to the other article. Kasich says otherwise.
I wouldn’t believe Kasich if he told me it’s raining outside.
Can't disagree.
I agree with Trump...go figure!!!
I don’t know how ANYONE could vote Kasich, he is a mushy, feely, kissy, POS!!!!
Donnie didn’t mind this strategy when Carson was doing it, helping him.
It ain’t beanbag Donnie.
If Kasich drops out, then Trump, the runner up, will get all 66 Delegates out of Ohio per state law.
Kasich is saying he is staying into be the VP. However, you do not have to stay in the Primary to be nominated the VP.
Kasich is only trying to stop Trump from reaching 1,237 Delegates. In other words Kasich is trying to game the system and working for the bad guys.
He wants to make sure your vote does not count.
Opinion? Essentially none from Trump and maybe a few of the more confused from Cruz. If Kasich quits people who’d be inclined to vote for him will either not vote or register and vote in the Democratic primary, where they belong. Trump is delusional if he thinks a Kasich voter sees him as an alternative, more like a carnival freak show barker. Kasich won’t formally withdraw as he fantasizes about being a convention (in Cleveland, BTW) fifth ballot favorite son compromise candidate.
I guess the GOPe votes that Kasich is getting will go to Trump?
regardless of where one stands, pretty good analysis.
