Overflow crowds in Peoria greeted 2016 presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on his third of five Monday rallies in Illinois the day before Tuesday's pivotal primary elections.
Cruz commented that republican frontrunner Donald Trump "may be the one person on the face of the planet Hillary Clinton can beat in a general election" according to political reporter Rosie Gray.
Cruz mentioned Cook County politics, garnering boos from the crowd in reference to Chicago, Illinois. He slammed Trump over donations to politicians such as the disgraced and imprisoned Rod Blagojevich, the Cook County Democratic Party, and Rahm Emmanuel....

Yes, but you said that he didn't blame the protestors.
He did.
Can you answer questions written in English?
Some people sure have a funny way of showing Christian love.
The Cruzers who think we Trump supporters have something wrong with us or are unserious ought to read what Wendle just said.
I agree with the above except I always liked but was never ga-ga for Cruz, except the contrast of him and Trump is so stark now/last bunch of months. Cruz really looks like the last adult in the room.
Cruz is finally saying what needs to be said about TRump.
That Trump will, if given the chance and I hope its not too late, get Dems back the WH and congress.
Or morph back into a Dem himself, same outcome.
Which president were we talking about?
Don't you just love this forum? Here we got 70 or 80 voices with all different opinions going back and forth. You put the same bunch of guys in a bar, and you wouldn't have half the conversations and sooner or later it would evolve into generic talk about favorite sports teams, etc. To me, this is a better time, and it doesn't cost you anything :-) A few heated discussions are going on, and lots of humor and some interesting opinions. Good stuff. |
Oh wow. Is that that the saving grace for cruz? He equated Trump with rioting communists ? Are you for real with that? He said that Trump was to blame because some old geezer cold cocked a disrupting communist at a Trump rally? Are you sure you are on the right side of this one?
I love it. It is America. It is getting heated because the stakes are very high. I think it is analogous to child birth because the pain is very great but something new is being born. This is freedom.
Do you have trouble reading posts. Where did I say it was Cruz's saving grace.
I'll repeat the conversation again for you, starting with the part of your post that I don't agree with.
Paraphrasing, you said Cruz didn't blame the protestors. I said that, yes he did.
Period.
Thanks Tiny. I appreciate that you saw it.
Have you noticed the press has stopped even *trying* to lie about the supposedly low numbers at Trump rallies?
Have you noticed the press dropped the David Duke / KKK / Nazi meme after maybe 48 hours, as well?
Ok man . you stick with that. Have a nice evening but remember this. You can’t have it both ways. Cruz can’t play that card with me. He went after Trump instead of standing up for Trumps absolute right to have his political rally and with that ,sir, cruz lost me for ever.
Look! Another Texan. Any guess who *you* support?
Where are the 24x7 accusations from other GOP candidates against Cruz, in tandem with the MSM?
Where are the Bernie Sanders infiltrators ripping up Cruz signs while they are still in the Cruz supporters' hands, *on camera*, *mid-interview* ?
Where are the Facebook/Twitter coordination of HUNDREDS of disruptors at Cruz rallies?
Where are the baseless allegations that Cruz is a Nazi and KKK member, stated with a straight face on major "news" channels?
Where are the semi-secret meetings of top GOP members including sitting members of Congress, past Presidential candidates, and dropped-out-of-this-race candidates, all for conspiring to hold back and defeat Cruz? Has this ever happened to a party's own front-runner from within the party before?
you’ve said u wouldn’t go for cruz for a while now
u r a joke
Well, OK. It’s not “low energy”: more like “about to shift from neutral into first gear.”
The key to having an overflow crowd is having a venue that is too small. How many hundred were there?
Cruz wife is successful while fully dressed.
Trump's wife married a multi-billionaire.
Cruz's wife out-earns him by a factor of 3.
Oh, btw, since *you* brought up undress:
which wife do you think is more fun in bed? Men take that into consideration when marrying as well, and it is quite biblical. ("Deny not one another except for prayer and fasting, and then come together again, lest Satan tempt you...")
Ted’s a rock star in Springfield tonight. :)
