Ted Cruz surge is identified, will win election, Republican Polls
Red State ^ | March 9, 2016 | Michael Harrington

I have performed some math showing Polls versus Results

Ted Cruz has been dominating the polls recently. Every time the polls say he is going to perform X, he outdoes them with two minor exceptions.

(GRAPH-AT-LINK)

As seen in the graphic above Ted Cruz has been outdoing the Republican Polls by 15% or higher on average. In two cases we could not identify how much higher because of lack of Polls, these are Hawaii and Maine. However an examination of his wins shows either an extreme bias in the polls, or that the vote is always breaking for one candidate when it comes time to pull the lever.

An example of some of the differences, these are how much higher Ted Cruz did in actual results above the polls (RCP Average, last month or so only used)

Idaho 26.40%
Mississippi 19.30%
Kansas 19.20%
Kentucky 16.70%
Oklahoma 14.10%
Alaska 12.40%
Louisiana 10.10%

I would say it is probably fair that if it was polled Maine would be in that list as well.

In a previous effort I identified that 33% of Democrats in S. Carolina voted in the Republican Primary. This trend in Open Primaries has continued unabated by all appearances. Ted Cruz continues to dominate in closed Primaries after all....

He’s got a helluva better chance than Cruz.

He was supposed to be the GOP-e siphon to make the conservatives feel better that they had a voice. The Pied Piper.

He has now been repurposed into ¿Jeb? 's replacement for the time being, until the rules committee (as they think) can force a brokered convention and destroy the Party.

Which is why Kasich and Rubio are in there: neither of them, nor Cruz, has a snowball's chance in hell of winning, but by tag-teaming (tougher with hundreds of millions in hate advertising) the GOP-e hopes to hold Trump from an outright majority before the convention.

If Hillary and Trump are the nominees and if neither support an attempt to repeal Roe vs. Wade, who do you vote for and why?

Trump may not have abortion at the top of his priority list, but he has shown no indication that he would PROMOTE it.

Hillary, on the other hand, WILL make it a PRIORITY to expand abortion and have the DOJ go after abortion protesters HARD.

Under Hillary, Federal regulations will mandate that hospitals MUST offer abortion services as a condition of receiving federal funding. Go ahead and tell me that you don't believe she will push this.

So in a Trump-v-Clinton scenario, you have a choice between somebody who seems lukewarm against abortion, versus somebody who is a FANATIC pro-abortion supporter.

Agree. Think of a 6 win, 10 loss NFL team and their press package reading, “the team beat the point spread in every game - a perfect record!”

Cruz needs to win more than 60% of all delegates in every state from here on out to secure the nomination.

That is not unreasonable. If you were the GOPe, Romney succeeds in a brokered convention, where the emerging ticket is Jeb!/Kasich. Does Hillary win? Yes.

To the GOPe, their plan comes to fruition. They win no matter who wins.

A horrifying thought.

Fox news reported last night Ted Cruz needs to capture an average of 60% of the vote in the remaining states to win. That was before Trump won HI.

Honestly, I think California and Massachusetts is too much of a stretch. New York and New Jersey I do think it’s possible. At worst, Trump makes the Dems spend resources in states they didn’t plan on: NY, NJ, PA, IL, MI.

If...a material portion of the Sanders voters are populist and prefer Trump to Clinton (not unreasonable to think), it could be that a NY, NJ or MI swing to Trump. If so, I think the Dems electoral college map gets really tough, really fast.

If Trump actually won CA, then it is a Dem electoral disaster, imo.

What I find highly entertaining in this primary season is all the Trumpsters claiming how Donald is doing so well in states that have open Primaries...

The same system that brought us John McCain and Mitt Romney.
The same open primaries that right here on this site we by a very large majority HATED the RINO Establishment’s push for them to promote Liberal Politicians claiming to be Conservative.

Now comes along Second Hand Donnie, who after having a dream, woke up one morning after 40 years of Promoting Democrat Policies and Democrat Candidates is a now a Republican.

And the Idolatry is overwhelming for a large portion of the public that just “wants to win”. What you ask? the Fence, jobs they say.

But then Don tells them all on National TV “everything is negotiable”. Do they listen? no, don’t want to hear it.

There will be plenty of time after either Second Hand Donnie wins or Hillary wins for us to say...Told you!

Until then it’s Zombie Nation.......aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hey, there... I believe we’re on the same side. Please check my posting history. Trump DID go to military academy. Trump DOES have at least that much military background. All of the others have NO military whatsoever.

Go Trump!

God bless your grandkids because having such a nasty granny does not bode well for them. You really ooze nastiness, especially when you post late at night. Kind of make me think of the granny in the movie “The Visit”

I was going to post that pic of Trump in his military academy uniform, but wasn’t able to. He’s the only one of the guys who has even a hint of military background.

Please, ENOUGH with the Idolatry. He's a freaking draft dodger. Claims he was a great athlete is school but when the draft came about he had bone spurs! I mean seriously. Many faked their bad health to fight for this country... Donnie acquired a limp.

Yes, Cruz does much better in closed primaries and caucuses (caucii?). Remember when the GOP said they need to extend the tent and attract disenfranchised Dems and Indies?

You know, you guys really are sad. It’s one thing to be optimistic, but it’s another thing to be so delusional that you are in an anti-reality bubble.

Reminds me of the GOPe types all over the media, so I guess that applies to you.

Cruz will not win NY, CT, RI, DE, MD, IL, WA, OR, or PA. It is not going to happen. Many of these are winner take all states, and Trump will wrap this up at NY, just as I predicted.

Research Cruz' record. This is NOT what we need in the WH:

CRUZ WANTS TO CUT SENIOR'S SOCIAL SECURITY: http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2016/01/31/this-presidential-candidate-wants-to-cut-social-se.aspx

Alumni, roommates, law clerks, former staffers in the George W. Bush campaign and White House (and the president himself), members of Congress and others who have known Cruz — lots and lots of people — consider him socially awkward, nasty, dishonest. httpest, a blatant apple-polisher and all-around creepy guy. You can write off a few of these critics as jealous of his success, or liberal antagonists, but all of them? There is something badly amiss here. Cruz, who so obviously lacks emotional intelligence, cannot recognize it, but those closest to him surely must see that something is awry...

OFTEN DID NOT SHOW UP FOR THE JOB HE WAS ELECTED TO DO: .
Ted Cruz the senator: Heard but not seen The Texas Republican seriously lags most of his colleagues in attending hearings and casting votes. Ted Cruz came to Washington two-and-a-half years ago pledging to be the anti-senator. But he's been more like the no-show senator. The Texas Republican seriously lags most of his colleagues in attending hearings and casting votes in what has been a Senate career long on rhetoric and short on Senate business. He's skipped the vast majority of Armed Services Committee hearings, is below-average in attendance on his other major committees and ranks 97th during the first three months of this year in showing up for roll call votes on the Senate floor. ... -Read more: Ted Cruz the senator: Heard but not seen http://www.politico.com/story/2015/04/ted-cruz-2016-senate-vote-record-117201
