Donald Trump says he's considering suing GOP rival Ted Cruz to challenge the Canada-born Texas senator's eligibility to be president.
"I'm thinking about it very seriously," the GOP front-runner told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America Tuesday. "I already have a lawyer, we're looking at it very seriously, we're thinking about it."
Most Constitutional scholars agree that Cruz, who was born in Calgary to an American mother and a Canadian father, is eligible to run for president. But Trump has repeatedly questioned the senator's presidential qualifications under the Constitution's "natural-born citizen" clause.
"He was born in Canada," Trump said Tuesday. "Lawyers - many lawyers - are saying he doesn't even have the right to run for president. He can't be president because of the fact he was born in Canada, lived there for years. I mean, under that theory I guess Winston Churchill could be" president....

This must be a new lawyer, since his team of lawyers last year vetted Cruz and said he was a NBC.
.
From his wide open anus.
.
I know this has been said before and elsewhere, but it would be really smart for Trump to say something like “Ted Cruz is exactly the sort of person I’d nominate to the Supreme Court”.
He’d kill so many birds with that one political stone.
I see no case that can be made against it and think this is Trump’s way of orchestrating a rabbit trail chase. The poll #’s are tight between he and Cruz in SC and this is one of his stunts that he tried before and didn’t get any traction - so he’s reaching into his kitchen sink again for things to throw at Cruz, IMO.
.
Terms can be self defining.
Natural, and born, combined as one word have a perfect self definition.
He who is born a citizen naturally is obviously a natural born citizen.
The best legal minds in the country wouldn't touch this case with a ten-foot pole.
My thought. On Cruz, who does some stupid over the top stuff in campaigning, push him to the extreme. And as a kind of payback for his stealing votes in Iowa....thoughts that Cruz might be ineligible will discourage many new supporters from possibly wasting their votes on him.
Trump's game plan is magnificent. Folks have to know that payback is a *itch for anyone who crosses him.
.
But the American people already know that Cruz is the only candidate qualified to be selecting Supreme Court Judges.
(and that Trump is supremely unqualified to do so)
Sh!t or get off the pot Donald.
File it or STFU.

I didn’t realize that use of the internet was allowed in your asylum.

He did $hit, in his hand, and threw it at the voters.
Is that what you meant?
Figured as much. It’s certainly not in the Constitution.
“Trump’s game plan is magnificent. Folks have to know that payback is a *itch for anyone who crosses him.”
Yeah, he can just call up his murderous b*tch friend the Hildabeast and her rapist husband and have people he doesn’t like exterminated.
McAfee must have hit the sauce before writing. Hard, really hard. The author said Cruz’s dad is a Canadian? Where on earth did he find that information? Seems that the knowledge is well known that Cruz was born in Canada to a Cuban father and a US mother. And from what has been read at an earlier date - both parents were able to vote in Canadian elections. Mac-do your homework before attempting to write about something you seem to know very little.
If I were Cruz I would tell the Donald, put up or shut up I grow tired of your foolish threats and then deal with it.
If Trump does files suit and looses he looks like a birther kook gone off the deep end, then what is his next line of attack on Cruz? If he wins which I don’t think he would but if he did then he has done the Republicans and Cruz a favor.
Put up or shut up. Fine. You have a lawyer, sue. This way you won’t have to fight Cruz anymore. You can tie him up in the courts and probably force him to drop from the race.
On the other hand, Hillary is being investigated by 3 different agencies and she is going strong.
It won't even slow him down. What do you think, that Cruz will have to be in court? He has lawyers for that as well. How many times did Obama wind up in court over the same type of claims? Zero.
