Donald Trump says he's considering suing GOP rival Ted Cruz to challenge the Canada-born Texas senator's eligibility to be president.
"I'm thinking about it very seriously," the GOP front-runner told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America Tuesday. "I already have a lawyer, we're looking at it very seriously, we're thinking about it."
Most Constitutional scholars agree that Cruz, who was born in Calgary to an American mother and a Canadian father, is eligible to run for president. But Trump has repeatedly questioned the senator's presidential qualifications under the Constitution's "natural-born citizen" clause.
"He was born in Canada," Trump said Tuesday. "Lawyers - many lawyers - are saying he doesn't even have the right to run for president. He can't be president because of the fact he was born in Canada, lived there for years. I mean, under that theory I guess Winston Churchill could be" president....

Just do it already Trump, if you truly believe it, and of course as I recall it started with you just wanting to help Cruz out, file the damn suit and quit with the threats. Talk is cheap, actions are what is important.
Enough with this “I’m gonna sue unless Cruz does (fill in the blank)...” Enough threats. Enough promises. Enough innuendo. Enough whining. Either file the damned suit or shut up about it.
I wish someone would. Seriously. Trump's not going to though because he wants the issue. However, this should have been done a long time ago. Cruz doesn't need this hanging over his head. It would make him a far more appealing candidate if it were to be cleared up. The same goes for Rubio. If one of them gets the nomination with this issue not clear, the Democrats will sure as hell make a big deal out of it. Not sure why Cruz supporters would oppose this.

Well, you don’t have to worry. He’s eligible. Trump is just being the big baby that he always is.

No. Trump is a fighter. If he wants to he can hire the best legal minds in the country. And, quite frankly, Rubio is Trump’s biggest threat. But Cruz wants Trump’s conservative voters. Unfortunately, Cruz is lying like hell to try and get them. Trump will hit back.
He should put up or shut up. It’s getting annoying.

Do you or anyone else on this thread know any specifics about Eleanor Darraghs marriage to an Englishman named Wilson in the 1960s, had a daughter with him before divorcing him. Did she also become a British subject during her marriage?
Trump is a sue-happy moron. He embodies much that is wrong with America today. He’ll sue for the dumbest things. Like that time he tried to sue that guy who said that he, Trump, was only a millionaire. Can’t expect substance and class from a hot-headed, arrogant parvenu.
He has a lawyer? Must not be one of his lawyers who told him in November that Cruz was eligible...
