Ok Freepers, put down the Trump/Cruz bats for a minute and consider this.
According to polling a plurality of Iowa voters are either undecided or soft in their support for any candidate.
Religious voters play a significant role in Iowa politics.
Religious voters have demonstrated in the past a distaste for candidate who engage in the bare knuckle politics Cruz/Trump have recently engaged in.
Historically polling in Iowa has been rather in accurate. Iowa almost always produces a surprise result.
Rubio has gone full out of for the religious votes. His ads spend a lot of time with him talking about his religious faith. His stump speechs spend a lot of time on his faith
Team Cruz switched from targeting Trump to going after Rubio today.
Much happiness in the Rubio camp?
There will be a meltdown.? Who knows?
It means FR has a lot of work to do.
Lots of hype on Fox for Rubio, the “surprise” candidate.
You can tell Fox is really ticked about the debate thing, they’ve all turned their guns on Trump.
Won’t happen but things would be turned upside down.
The poll takers will all get shot
Cruz is fighting to hold on to 2nd.
You people all rock! I knew I could count on your for great answers
I expect Rubio to beat Cruz. Who wins overall is anybody’s guess at this point. It’s Iowa.
Rubio is Trump's next target anyway. Cruz has peaked, and his popularity will go down substantially in the next month.
I’m gonna guess an awful lot of people are gonna get blind stinkin drunk...............and not in celebration.
We stamp stupid on the foreheads of Iowans?
Was this a trick question? The establishment would still have a foot in the door to get the Presidency.
Not much.
FOX radio news was pimping Rubio all day. Big Time.
About the only mention of Cruz was to replay his first answer to Play-Doh head about everyone else on the stage being mean, fat and ugly. Without playing the whole comment.
In 2004, Vermont Governor Howard Dean had a national lead in the polling, and it put him a close race with Massachusetts Senator John Kerry, Missouri Rep. Dick Gephardt, and North Carolina Senator John Edwards. Meanwhile, he had a massive lead in polling in New Hampshire â the Iowa caucuses took place on January 19, and the last polls before that had him up significantly on General Wesley Clark, as well as Kerry.
After he lost Iowa in a landslide to both Kerry and Edwards, Dean screamed and imploded. He didnât win a single primary other than Vermont and the District of Columbia.
Any thoughts on this comparison?
What would happen? A task force would need to figure out how some many delegates were paid money / bribed to vote for a progressive stealth Democrat
Is this Heaven?
No, it’s Iowa.
Iowa goes Rubio = Field of In-Your-Dreams
And you’re welcome to heckle the daylights out of me if Rubio does win.
FR will have a epic melt down.
