Golly, I thought populists liked it when Cruz did that. Now it turns out that type of insolence is a liability in a president. Frankly, that attitude sounds ... establishment-y.
I guess it's time for the "Donald Trump scolding other people for incivility" act of this circus.
Donald Trump bashed Ted Cruz's "temperament" and defended his presidential campaign's ground game during an appearance Tuesday at the John Wayne Birthplace Museum.
"Ted has got a rough temperament, you can't call people liars on the Senate floor when they are your leaders. Not a good thing to do if you want to curry favor and get the positive votes later on own," Trump said....

Un huh, blaming someone else for his own stupidity in believing a lie against the warnings of his own advisers. He didn’t have sense enough to vote the other way and tried to squirm out of it by claiming McConnell lied. So what if McConnell did lie? Cruz should have manned up to the mistake of believing him. Not too smart for someone supposed to be so brilliant.And cowardly to boot!
I think Trump has dealt with men like Mitch all his working life. I don’t think he is looking to get along although they both may act nicey nice they will both know its an act.
Trump knows how to get and use leverage. That’s the only thing someone like Mitch understands. Trump plays hardball; Mitch just plays dirty. Trump is going to give in on things he thinks are not important to look like he is cooperating and get in a position to have America’s back on the important ones. He is also not going to show his cards and will keep the old boy network/living off the fat of the land folks off balance and out gunned.

From what I have read, most of the Insiders in Congress would have to be removed from their positions of power or risk tearing the party down. McConnell, McCain and Rience Priebus would have to go. The president gets to pick the party chairman.
He could get rid of McConnell over the voter fraud issue in the primary that Priebus refused to deal with.
But yes, he did get played by McConnell. I would bet that Cruz didn’t believe that McConnell actually committed voter fraud, either. People were warning him about the TPA thing and Cruz just wouldn’t believe that McConnell would lie, not to just him, but to the whole Republican caucus.
The Republicans Insiders have themselves in a bind, they have made so many deals Democrats, that they probably really would be happier with Hillary than either Trump or Cruz. What worries me is that Trump doesn’t know any more about the Constitution than he does the Bible. He isn’t an ideologue and that leaves him open to changing his mind and going in a completely different direction.
Basically, I don’t trust Trump. He has lied about the Cruze eligibility and I am sick to death of lying politicians. On the other hand, I am worried about the Supreme Court ruling on Obama’s immigration executive actions. Mark Levin said that it might take executive actions by the next President to undo it and I don’t know for Cruze is up to using the same executive actions that Obama has. I think that Cruze might be too inflexible on the Constitutionality.
