Is Marco Rubio about to be Outed?

The Republican presidential candidate's shady political past is slowly but surely catching up to him.

Marco Rubio, one of several Republican presidential candidates, is once again mired by scandal. This time rumors are swirling around about an alleged affair with a DC lobbyist and don’t appear to be going away anytime soon. Rubio is no stranger to scandal and in fact it is the investigation into his fraudulent use of a Republican Party credit card that brought his alleged affair to light. If true, it could spell the end of his campaign for president.

Rubio is touted by many in the main stream media as the most electable of the Republican candidates and many democrats fear him as a result. He is young, attractive, and may appeal to Latino voters. There are several stories out there claiming that Rubio is gaining nationwide momentum. However, throughout the years several stories have also surfaced questioning his ethics.

In November, Mother Jones reported Marco Rubio was relying on a convicted felon to help him win in Florida. According to the article Rubio has hired Clyde Fabretti, a tea party activist, to lead Rubio’s presidential effort in Orange County, Florida. Fabretti is a “convicted white-collar criminal with a history of questionable business dealings and associations with fraudsters.”

Most recently, Fabretti’s name surfaced in an ongoing lawsuit by investors in a tea-party-related media startup who claim he played a role in a company that allegedly defrauded them. And records show that the 67-year-old activist may have committed voter fraud by registering to vote and casting ballots in Florida elections when his criminal record rendered him ineligible to do so. – Mother Jones

In addition to hiring convicted felons to lead key parts of his campaign, Rubio has been dogged by a scandal for several years questioning his personal finances. In the third republican debate Rubio was asked about the fact that he “accidentally intermingled campaign money with personal money.” From 2005 to 2008, Rubio was issued an American Express card by the Republican Party of Florida. At that time Rubio was Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives and the card was meant for expenses incurred in the course of business.

Rubio’s use of the American Express card included a $10,000 family reunion, $1,000 to repair his personal minivan, as well as several other personal expenses. Marco Rubio has admitted to charging just over $16,000 in a 25 month period. However, in his book, American Son, he wrote “he charged $160,000 over a four year period.”

The only reason that this misuse has come to see the light of day is that the American Express statements for the years 2007 and 2008, were leaked to the Tampa Bay Times. Any spending prior to that time-frame is still unclear and Rubio continues to blame dirty politics rather than accept blame for his actions.

Using the two years of statements released as a reference rumors are now starting to surface that they show Rubio was also having an extramarital affair with a DC lobbyist. The statements, remember they cover just two years, show that Rubio paid for 17 Delta Airline flights for Amber Stoner. Amber Stoner is a health-care lobbyist and a Rubio aide. In addition to the flights, Rubio and Stoner would often show up in the same place and at the same time.

Several websites are claiming that this affair is about to blow wide open. If it does, what will it mean for the “mainstream candidate” who is gaining momentum in a crowded GOP field of crazies, some of whom are dancing around their own scandals? It seems Marco Rubio’s talent for blaming others for his own bad behavior has reached its apex. Stay tuned to the GOP’s really bad reality show for more.

Stuff like this proves how stupid politicians are. Why does everyone of them think they’ll be THE ONE who doesn’t get caught?

Trump and Maples doesn’t count.

Because Donald Trump is a longstanding advocate of limited government, fidelity to the Constitution and other issues important to conservatives. He is also an eloquent spokesman for those principles and can be counted upon to forcefully make the moral and intellectual case for them.

The problem with some credit cards is they are dual purpose and intended to be that way. I had an employer where the card could be used for personal and company expenses, with me being primarily liable, but able to be reimbursed for company expenses. A bad thing, but the way they did it. The point is that credit card transactions can n be confused and confusing; thus, not a good thing to use, by themselves, against any candidate. It’s far better to go after Rube for his horrible dishonesty on immigration, not credit card garbage.

I can’t stand the sniffy little prima donna Rubio.

But if this hag has the goods on him, let’s see them.

To sit and twitch and froth up about the “affair about to blow wide open” is a smear and a disgrace and probably a lie.

If you know something say something!!

Nothing applies to Trump that Reno uses to trash other candidates. Never. Trump can do no wrong, no other candidate can any right.

I like Trump and I don’t think his two divorces and history of womanizing should be held against him, but when you declare that another candidate is unfit for the Presidency because of a rumored affair, you are the basest hypocrite when you ignore the same behavior in your own chosen candidate.

An affair in itself is bad, but the real concern would be possible blackmail while in high office.

“Adultery goes to character. If his own wife cannot trust him, if his marriage vows are so easily violated, how can anyone trust him? “

From a 1990 Vanity Fair article:
http://www.vanityfair.com/magazine/2015/07/donald-ivana-trump-divorce-prenup-marie-brenner
Christmas Eve, three years ago. Ivana had received another stack of legal documents the size of a telephone book. “What is this?” she is said to have asked Donald. “It is our new nuptial agreement. You get $10 million. Sign it!” “But I can’t look at this now, it’s Christmas,” Ivana said. Donald pressed her, according to Kennedy. Trump seemed extraordinarily concerned that she sign the papers, perhaps because an Atlantic City photographer was threatening to blackmail him with photos he had taken of him and Marla Maples. However efficiently Ivana ran Trump Castle, she seemed terrified of her husband. She signed the papers giving her $10 million and the mansion in Greenwich, Connecticut. Later, Trump would tell reporters, “Ivana has $25 million.”

The tactics he used in business he now brought home. “Donald began calling Ivana and screaming all the time: ‘You don’t know what you are doing!’ ” one of Ivana’s top assistants told me. “When Ivana would hang up the phone, I would say, ‘How can you put up with this?’ and Ivana would say, ‘Because Donald is right.’ ” He began belittling her: “That dress is terrible.” “You’re showing too much cleavage.” “You never spend enough time with the children.” “Who would touch those plastic breasts?” Ivana told her friends that Donald had stopped sleeping with her. She blamed herself. “I think it was Donald’s master plan to get rid of Ivana in Atlantic City,” one of her assistants told me. “By then, Marla Maples was in a suite at the Trump Regency. Atlantic City was to be their playground.”

Ivana had once warned her husband against Atlantic City. “Why expand somewhere where there is no airport?” Trump, however, was determined to invest there, even though Las Vegas associates had told him that Nevada gaming had profit factors that could total $200 million a year. But by now Marla Maples was in Atlantic City, and it was close to New York. Trump had become, according to one friend, “so focused on Marla he wasn’t paying attention to his business.”

Though Ivana had established herself in Atlantic City to please Donald, her presence there now, with Marla on the scene, was an inconvenience to him. With the acquisition of the Plaza hotel, he could deliver an ultimatum: “Either you act like my wife and come back to New York and take care of your children or you run the casino in Atlantic City and we get divorced.”

“What am I going to do?” she asked one of her assistants. “If I don’t do what he says, I am going to lose him.”

Trump even called a press conference to announce Ivana’s new position as the president of the Plaza hotel: “My wife, Ivana, is a brilliant manager. I will pay her one dollar a year and all the dresses she can buy!” Ivana called her friends in tears. “How can Donald humiliate me this way?”

Trump was not in elected office at the time. Rubio campaigned talking about what a wonderful faithful husband and family man he was.

Even after he put all the charges on the Senate (taxpayer) credit card, a matter of public record.

To clarify, it was a state Republican Party credit card, when he was in the Florida legislature. So, it's more ripping off GOP donors than taxpayers, unless you believe it was just an accident or convenience and he always intended to pay it all back it was just in the newspapers first...

Reno said:

Now you want to say that only applies if he was in elected office?

The statement was not about hypocrisy, it was about character and trust. If the rumor of an affair is enough to demand Rubio to drop out, then Trump can’t be trusted twice over. It shows that he has poor character. Whether elected or not.

Or, maybe, disingenuous attacks on other candidates shouldn’t be thrown about haphazardly and civil discourse and disagreements over positions and policies should be the method of discussion amongst adults.

Well, while I’m not for Rubio, I don’t really care much about his private life, if he can do the job. His private life can be private.

Sorry to disagree with you but I believe part of the President's job is to set the moral compass of America, I have had enough of the democrats anything go crap and Rubio or any other Presidential hopeful that is morally lax is disqualified as far as I am concerned. Back when old BJ clinton was dicking around with his intern I had Mexican co workers tell me they didn't see what the big deal was, that this kind of thing happened in their country all the time. I responded that America wasn't a third world country and the pig was doing this in our house, not his!

I never said Rubio should drop out. I vote based on the campaign promises they made to me, the voter.

Vitter was a great senator with his votes in senate. I did not follow LA recent election. To those voters, his extra marital affairs mattered. He campaigned on his great morality.

I have no question about his ethics. They stink. This became quite evident when he ran as a tea-party candidate only to abruptly abandon that and side with the establishment.
