Yes, Donald Trump could absolutely be the Republican nominee in 2016
The Washington Post's The Fix ^ | November 19, 2015 | Chris Cillizza

It has become damn close to religion in Washington to assume that Donald Trump will, at some point not too far from now, flame out of the presidential race -- that he will start losing altitude in polls, get sick of the whole thing and return to the safe sinecure of Trump Inc.

The problem with that conceit is this: It's wrong. Matt Dowd, a top adviser to the Bush-Cheney campaign in 2004, nailed that fact in a tweet this morning...

"He will be the nominee"

It is becoming increasingly difficult to imagine a scenario where that's not the case.

Just saying.....

Conservative Review - Presidential Candidates Comparison - as of 11-18-15

From Conservative Review's "About" page:

Our Mission

The mission of Conservative Review is to provide best-in-class analysis and commentary on conservative political speech, votes, positions, and elections.

Why?

At some point or another, every voter has felt like they have been duped - sold a fake bill of goods. Politicians and candidates run ads telling conservatives what they want to hear because campaign ads, like it or not, work. Politicians are selling a product, themselves, to you the voter. To cut through the talking points and the smoke and mirrors, Conservative Review employs two main tools: the Liberty Score and our in-depth profiles.

How many times are you going to post that skewed chart?

The 2nd amendment rating is just wrong.
The Free Trade rating of being against the TPP and other one sided anti-American agreements is also backwards. A red rating on that should be good.

I’m sorry the chart is skewed and fails to weight older position on which he has changed his mind.

So Trump is no longer Obama's biggest cheerleader? When did he change his mind?

If late June of 2016 comes, and Donald Trump still looks like a sure thing for the nomination. expect some sort of DIRTY TRICKS from the RINOS and GOPe donors. They have already been trying, but have not been able to take him down.

I’m starting to get the feeling that Mitt Romney is about to make his reappearance in the race, either as a candidate, or a spokesperson for someone like Rubio or Rand Paul, if he resurrects his sputtering campaign. How ironic it would be if Romney began campaigning for Christie. But, I don’t think Chris will be around much after the turn of the year.
I expect Santorum to be the next to bow out.
I haven’t met even one person who wants Rick Santorum as president.

Trump endorsed Romney and says he voted him in 2008

Trump also endorsed McCain in 2004

He endorsed Regan in 1980 and 1984

Trump lead the fight to try and get Obama to publish a birth certificate

He has never been a fan of Obama though he did congratulate him on his election

Yes he could be the nominee. so... we then have to ask do we really think he can beat Hillary (Democrat fraud included)? To early to tell? I think he can but then what do I know.

What’s also missing from the chart is “leadership “.

As much as I like Cruz, Trump is the only one who really gets people excited. He talks the way average American talk, and he’s in tune with what they want and articulates it.

Another very important trait, he has shown that he can take on our number one enemy - the main stream media.

Ask a generic question ...

Name a politician

I've gotten about 75% Donald Trump of maybe 20 or so people I've asked

The first time I experimented, I asked family. After 6 or 8 people, I started conversations in WalMart and used those conversations as a vehicle to ask

I don't care if Teddy Roosevelt himself comes back, Trump is the nominee---I have said this for two months and showed how the delegates will be locked up by about Super Tues.

All of Bush/Rubio's "money," all of Cruz's " ground game," all the GOPe's desperation dirty tricks are for nothing. Trump is the nominee, Cruz will be, I am increasingly convinced, his veep (with a promise of USSC when there is an opening), and while it won't be a landslide (because of CA and NY), Nov. 2016 will be a blowout.

Ah, some drive-bys are begrudgingly becoming believers. Others still remain in a dream state, hoping for the train wreck.

I agree. For example, the red dot on ‘free trade’ likely focuses only on ‘free’ trade without Trump’s demand that it the issue is more than free trade, it has to be ‘fair’ trade. His emphasis on current imbalances in trade with major world producers is all geared toward the need to negotiate fair trade agreements.
