Donald Trump is starting to drop hints about a world in which he is not a presidential candidate. In an interview on "Meet the Press" on Sunday, Trump said that he'd quit the race if his poll number started to drop. Talking to the Times, he bemoaned what a Trump-less race would look like: boring. "There’d be a major collapse of the race, and there’d be a major collapse of television ratings," he told the Times's Michael Barbaro. "It would become a depression in television." He's probably not wrong.
Polling released in concert with that "Meet the Press" interview shows that Trump's recent national decline is also mirrored in two key early primary states. At the end of August, NBC (working with Marist College) had Trump at 29 percent in Iowa and 28 in New Hampshire. The new survey (working with the Wall Street Journal) has him at 24 and 21, respectively. Putting those in the context of other recent polls, you can see the dip...

He said he would consider it if he was polling 1% - 2%,
because he’s “not a masochist.” He then added, “But I’m leading in all the polls.”

I heard what he said, and he said that if he felt he wasn’t going to win, he was going back to Trump Organization.
Notice he qualified it.... ‘if I feel I won’t win’.

Trump was tricked here. He’s trying to tell the 1-2%ers (Rand Paul, for example) to drop out. So he answered this as a hypothetical.
The MSM then spun it as Trump may drop out / his polls numbers are droppings.
It’s a complete misleading sham - as usual - from the MSM.

I think the truth is, at this point in time, that most people don’t change their candidate choice over and over on a daily basis.
That is why I do not believe these polls too much.
They are being manipulated to get a desired effect for whatever or whoever wants a poll done.
I watched 2 minutes of Megan tonight and that is all she was talking about. Quoting unknown polls. Changed the channel quickly.

The second sentence isn’t true. Trump did NOT say he’d quit if he began to drop in the polls. What he actually said was a hint to the bottom dwellers. He said he is not a masochist. So if his polling numbers went down and hung between 4% and 0 he’d drop out and go back to his businesses.
and yet they maintain that “polls this early don’t matter”. Polls never matter when you’re losing in them. As soon as you start winning though, they mean EVERYTHING.
A big problem for Donald Trump is that social conservatives have had the good sense to choose a single candidate — Ben Carson — to support instead of dividing their votes among an array of social conservatives including Ted Cruz and Mike Huckabee.
So now that Ben Carson is tied with Donald Trump and even beginning to pull ahead in some polls, the great Donald Trump vision of personal invincibility is being destroyed.
How can Donald Trump make America great again if he can’t even beat a candidate whom he has criticized for being a mere doctor who’s unfit for the presidency?
How long can Donald Trump go without being a Winner, without being able to boast and brag and extol himself as a superior being?

You won’t believe this. I stumbled on MyGYN ( the bleeder kelly) . She had the Trump “hit Crew” on!! They were touting a “national Poll” with Carson leading ( to fit the false narrative). MyGYN mentioned that the “poll” was “357” people. Then she asked Chris Liarwalt was that a good poll. He said “ a poll is a poll”
Does the GOPe actually think this crap will work. “OHH I saw a poll and I want carson!!”
Of course , they don’t want Carson. They want 1. bush,2.rubio or 3 fioRINO !! we all know that. ( they can control them) Let’s be sure, as a nation, that they fail.
Not just !Yeb!, but other GOPe favorites such as Christie and Kasich and Huckster are also falling into the abyss.
