NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who has been criticized by his rivals over his comments about minority groups, said on Wednesday he is the rare Republican who could win a sizable portion of the black vote.
Trump, the Republican front-runner, spoke in South Carolina at a meeting of the Greater Charleston Business Alliance, which supports minority businesses and is affiliated with the South Carolina African American Chamber of Commerce.
He cited a recent poll from the firm SurveyUSA that showed him getting support from 25 percent of black respondents in a match-up against Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton. Trump said that shows he could win the general election.
"Generally, Republicans do not do well with African-Americans," Trump said.
"I have a lot of friends, African-Americans in New York, they say, 'You're going to get most of the vote.' I was actually disappointed with the 25 percent," he said....

And they're sneaky, too. Busloads of black voters showed up, registered, and voted in several counties in Colorado where the residents had never even seen a black person.

Proof ? Evidence ? Links ? Cites ? The only people bashing Trump as you are are the ones who fear he will end the Marxist gravy train in DC, you know, the ones the RINO Establishment and its merry band of punks are helping Zero to proliferate. If Trump were to continue said leftist policies, the media and the establishment would be cheerleading his candidacy.

So again, you're guessing about Trump being a leftist as President without substantive evidence or proof. Someone without a record in office can be hard to judge, but I judge Trump on the stances he has taken and the people he surrounds himself with -- and most importantly, those that vigorously oppose his candidacy. Given that he's upset the nation's elites, the leftist big gubmint bipartisan establishment and sundry cretins and knuckledraggers, that tells me what I need to know about his credibility.
So Jim determines who we have to support and vote for - no differences of opinion tolerated? Somehow I doubt it. And I do not have the time or inclination to read everything posted on this forum about who like whom or not.

Thanks - I was wondering last night if this site had changed that much. I’ve run into various self-appointed clowns before. They make it sound like they are the real ‘authority’ about most any topic. This is the first one who made unwarranted zot threats, however.
More people need to speak up about how they see Trump and others in this very critical race, especially now that Boehner is gone. Who a particular person is and how they will behave is more than just doing ‘research’ as so many seem to think.
Sometimes if you sort of squint and look past the candidate speaking, another truer side of the person emerges, at least to me. The first time I saw candidate Bill Clinton, it was a particular way he stood and how his body was angled that made him look like the proverbial stereotypical ‘used car salesman’ - a snake oil peddler covered in his own product. What he said was all the rage with other people I was with at that moment - they never saw who he was, just what his word made him seem. So it is for me with Trump - not the same, but similar. Obama gave me the willies the first time I saw him.
The lesson for me is: look beyond the words, the background, the physical appearance - see the inner person, look them directly in the eye - who are they really? Would you trust your life to this person? Would you trust your childrens’ lives with this person? If you could not, then you have no business electing this person to any political office.
