Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign will be in serious jeopardy if she's challenged by a fellow Democrat, says Bill Kristol, founder and editor of The Weekly Standard and an ABC News contributor.
"She's in real trouble the moment a Democratic candidate or potential candidate, elected official, attacks her," Kristol said Monday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
---snip---
Kristol, who attended the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas over the weekend, said he was very impressed with Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, the first Republican to declare his candidacy for president.
"The big story of the weekend was Cruz. Ted Cruz gave a speech and it was just outstanding. Five standing ovations," Kristol said.
"I've seen Cruz many times and he's always very good, but at times he can be a little overbearing or a little preachy or maybe not quite thick with the audience. But he really hit on all cylinders."
Kristol said he talked to a number of Republicans before the Cruz speech who told him, "'Well, I respect Cruz and he's good on Israel, but I couldn't nominate him, he's too conservative, too confrontational.'"
But afterward, Kristol said the mood was different.
"It was, 'Boy that was something. I still worry that maybe he couldn't win, but boy, I got to rethink this.'"

So it’s written that before the speech he was viewed as too “confrontational”.
Now where do we suppose this idea of too “confrontational” came from?
And then after the speech, people have to “rethink” because the speech was so good.
This illustrates perfectly the Reaganesque qualities of Ted Cruz. Reagan faced the same dilemma. He had to face audiences who had been ‘conditioned’ by the media to think he was a nutjob who only wanted to nuke the Soviets. Then Reagan would speak and everyone listening would change their entire view of him.
The genius of Ted Cruz is that he speaks to his Truth. He doesn’t change that Truth to pander to the vagaries of public opinion; instead, he merely continues to make his case until he convinces even the most cynical, to adopt the the wisdom of his position.
I pray every day that God will give Ted Cruz favor in the eyes of men. God is Good!
The Wizard of Washington speaks and I am supposed be impressed? eck.... We knew this already Bill...
I’m praying with you!
I’ve met him and spoken with him, and I am convinced that he’s the “real deal”
Best thing I’ve heard all day. They have a little pulpit. We need the secular and Jewish conservatives praising him too! Make the libs eat their anti christian words.
Amen to that.
Just like Reagan, everyone knew he was too extreme, and had no chance, until they heard him speak and listened to what he said, and then thought, what’s so extreme about this guy?
How wonderful! I haven’t met him in person, but I, too, believe he is genuine. Very rare to find in politics.
Great comment and observation.
As I have said before good litigators are strategic thinkers by nature and by trade...
I will go farther...
I pray that individuals(myself included) repent of their sins, individual and corporate...and ask Jehovah God to forgive us and Bless our nation again.
If we get right with God, He can and will do Great Things.
I do pray that Ted Cruz being President, and then Supreme Court Justice is in God’s Will.
“It was, ‘Boy that was something. I still worry that maybe he couldn’t win, but boy, I got to rethink this.’”
Choose with Cruz.....get with Team America!
Exactly ..!!!!
