Early Friday evening Sen. Elizabeth Warren took to the Senate floor and gave a plain-spoken, barn-burning speech that could make history and put her into serious contention to be the next President of the United States.
There are only a handful of political speeches that have such historic impact. Barack Obama's keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention comes readily to mind. It's what catapulted an obscure Illinois state Senator into the national limelight and put him on the path to becoming President.
Warren's Senate speech was different, but just as electrifying.
Obama's rhetoric was lofty, high-minded, and general, with a feel-good unifying message that there's no blue America or red America but only the United States of America.
Warren's rhetoric is more down to earth, substantive, and frankly, angrier, unafraid of calling out by name the institutions--the big banks and Citigroup in particular--which tanked the economy, cost millions of Americans their jobs and homes, were bailed out with half a trillion dollars of taxpayer money, and then used their fortunes to buy Congress and make it more likely they'll be bailed out again. Moreover, she was unafraid to take on the President of her own party, and the numerous members of his administration drawn from Citigroup and other big banks through the endless revolving door between Washington and Wall Street.
Here's the heart of Warren's speech:
Democrats don't like Wall Street bailouts. Republicans don't like Wall Street bailouts. The American people are disgusted by Wall Street bailouts
And yet here we are, five years after Dodd-Frank with Congress on the verge of ramming through a provision that would do nothing for the middle class, do nothing for community banks, do nothing but raise the risk that taxpayers will have to bail out the biggest banks once again...

Yeah, I think the RATS are using this newest hot property to keep RAT base voters engaged until they decide on the correct ‘moderate’ male candidate who will take EW as VP, which will have to be a RAT governor.
Now contrast this with how they reported on Ted Cruz.

That’s the first thing that crossed my mind.
This from a woman who lied about being someone she was not so she could gain an unfair advantage in gaining entrance to a prestigious university . And a woman who along with her husband became very wealthy buying up delinquent mortgages and foreclosing homes. I’m beyond fed up with moral hypocrites like Warren. She’s a proven liar and a morally repulsive person.
They will seek to trade the Injun Slut support for her Presidential run against HRC (whom they hate anyway) in exchange for her cave-in to this monstrous funding bill.
Will the Multi-Millionaire Injun Princess take the smallpox-infected blanket from The Mombasa MF, or was that speech for real? Tay stuned.
My 44 was to you. You are on the money.
So, do they [Dems & Media] nominate her for sainthood now, or do they wait until she does something significant?
I'll be baaaaaaack! I'm coming for you!
“Barack Obama’s keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention comes readily to mind.”
In which he lied thru his teeth about being post-racial. Nothing post-racial about Barack.
“Pocaheinie doesnt have a chance. Bring it on.”
That would be a logical conclusion, however that is exactly what I said when Obola was running. “This country will never elect a president named Barack Hussain Obama.” Be careful what you wish for in this up means down, right means left, bad means good, white means black crazy country we live in. Don’t underestimate the stupidity of the American voter!
My oh my, is this a problem for the Clintons? How will the Clinton’s rub out Elizabeth Warren? Just wait and see. Hillary feels she was robbed then paid off in ‘08. She won’t be outdone by some “Joanie come lately” from Harvard.
You talkin’ about “Dances with Lies?”.
Fauxahauntis?
Ms Never had a Real Job?
I think Warren is a shoo-in. And I say that because she is such an incredibly bad and inappropriate choice. That’s what we’re going to get. I don’t think she can be stopped.
Pat & Stu of the Glenn Beck show do a hilarious sendup of “Run, Liz, Run!” on youtube.
Obama’s support is what is likely to get her the nomination.
Whether you adamantly disagree with Elizabeth Warren or not she is telling the people exactly what they want to hear.Everything she said on the face of her speech is correct!
The TeaParty was against the Wall Street bailouts too. Government spending as far as bailouts and other expenditures were out of control. Her message resonates with the middle class and if the Republicans don’t listen and start their own conversations on corporate cronyism, they will not win the presidency. Of course we know how Warren will fix things, the Communistic way, but a good Republican candidate needs to step up and let the American people he/she feels the same way and this is how we’ll fix the problem.
related?
” if the Republicans dont listen and start their own conversations on corporate cronyism”
Hasn’t Texas Ted been doing that, and saying “me too” is not a winning strategy, they need better ideas than just parroting the commie
If this is still on CSPAN, I would recommend everyone listen to Warren’s speech. It’s real good.
