In the wake of the 2012 presidential election, Fox News moved quickly to purge itself of its most troubled assets: Dick Morris, unquestionably the worst pundit of the cycle, was pushed out. Sarah Palin, a star fast fading, "parted ways" with the network. Karl Rove, who famously refused to concede Ohio to Obama even after Fox News called it for him, was temporarily sidelined.
Rove came back, of course. A top Republican strategist with major political influence, he was too valuable to give up. But now, as the next presidential election cycle gets under way, Rove has once again found himself at the center of controversy. At a conference in Los Angeles last week, he suggested that Hillary Clinton suffers from brain damage. The remarks were immediately criticized by fellow Republicans (Nicolle Wallace called them "off the wall"), Democrats (David Plouffe sarcastically commended the "high-brow, positive" criticism), and members of the media (CNN's John King said they were "reprehensible").
On Tuesday, Rove defended his remarks -- he said he never used the phrase "brain damage" -- but didn't apologize for raising concerns about Clinton's mental status: "I never used that phrase, I never used that phrase. But look, she had a serious health episode. And I dont know about you, but if you go through a serious health episode, it causes you to look at life a little bit differently. This was a serious deal, he said.
The damage is done, as they say, and that may very well have been intentional. Wallace, who worked with Rove in the Bush White House, called it "a deliberate strategy on his part to raise her health as an issue and, I think in his view, a legitimate line of questioning ahead of the next campaign."(continued)

I’d say with her, it’s more integrity damaged... character damaged... morality damaged... ethics damaged...
Feel feel to add what ya want...
The Hillary camp announced that she had a concussion. A concussion is by definition brain damage.
I know these are all different stories with different links, but 10-15 FR threads on Rove’s remarks so far is kinda over the top. Even for FR standards.
Democrats ran around for eight years saying Reagan was a kook, but no one can bring up a thing about their champions.
How much did Jim charge you for the site?
Morris. Palin. Rove.
One of these things is not like the other.
Notice how they try to taint Palin with this false association.
So he never used the words “brain damaged” yet they appear it quotes in all these articles??
Oh look. A squirrel.
There you go, using actual Dictionary definations (i.e. facts) to make the case. The Left uses emotions, not facts.
Well, if the question is “is he as blitheringly stupid, as wrong, and as good at making the rest of us look like fools” as Dick Morris then the answer is a resounding, “yes”.
This article is about sidelining and maligning people for criticizing Hillary Clinton, in this case Karl Rove, but who’ll be next?, not about the issue of “brain damage” per se, so it is not one more story about Rove’s remarks, in that sense. See the difference?
Ask Dylan.
lol I thought I was just seeing double, or triple, or ...
I dunno, as much a Karl is a personanon grata around here, but what did he say that is not true.
The woman suffered a brain injury.
The woman was out of commission for a long time.
The woman behaved differently when she came back.
The woman retired shortly after.
The woman wore glassed used specifically to treat a brain injury.
Did the media question and request confirmation of Joe Biden after his brain surgery?
Perhaps “brain damaged” was not the “correct” term. But the questions are legit.
And there’s also the possibility there was no real concussion because the “accident” was staged to keep the news media away from Hillary after Benghazi debacle.
Truth has nothing to do with the libs, it's whether or not you question one of their gods.
Regardless what you think of Hillary, that was a bloody stupid remark.
Will go doubly bad for Rove if she turns out to actually have a brain tumor.
Yes, and FOX News brings in James Carville to make up for it. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!
