Michigan Miscellany (Rand Paul Polling First In Michigan)
Public Policy Polling ^ | 04-09-2014 | Tom Jensen

It looks like Michigan will remain solidly in the blue column if Hillary Clinton runs for President in 2016. She leads her potential Republican opponents in the state by anywhere from 9 to 12 points: it's 46/37 over Chris Christie, 48/39 over Rand Paul, 49/38 over Jeb Bush, and 50/38 over Mike Huckabee.

Republicans are split a lot of different ways when it comes to who they'd like as their nominee in 2016. 16% want Rand Paul, 15% each support Chris Christie and Mike Huckabee, 11% are for Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush is at 9%, Paul Ryan and Scott Walker each get 5%, Marco Rubio's at 4%, and Bobby Jindal is last at 3%. Paul and Huckabee do well based on their strength with 'very conservative' Republican voters, while Christie does better with more middle of the road ones.

So the top GOPer gets 16%? Yeah. This is a disaster in the making.

Exactly. 2 1/2 years before 2008 it was going to be Giuliani and Hilary.

Horse race touting is not news (and irrelevant except as entertainment for the masses).

We need to concentrate on keeping Boner and McConnell's feet to the fire between now and whenever the Congress is immaculated.

The potential for near term damage doing is nearly incalculable.

I will sort that list by intellect, academic performance and mastery of details:

1. Jindal
2. Cruz
3. Rand Paul
4. Ryan
5. Rubio
6. Jeb Bush
7. Huckabee
8. walker & Christie (tied)

Next I will sort them by Likability:

1. Rubio
2. Rand Paul
3. Walker
4. Huckabee
5. Cruz
6. Bush
7. Ryan
8. Jindal
9. Christie

Next I will sort them by perceived conservatism:
(fiscal, military & social combined)

1. Cruz
2. Jindal
3. Rand Paul
4. Ryan
5. Rubio
6. Walker
7. Huckabee
8. Bush
9. Christie

Finally who will fight Hillary bost effectively in debates:

1. Cruz
2. Rand Paul
3. Rubio
4. Christie
5 Huckabee
6. Walker
7. Jindal
8. Ryan
9. Bush

It is difficult to say who is the best overall choice to
WIN THE GENERAL ELECTION in 2016.

Christie...”middle of the road”..... The only thing you find in the “middle of the road” are “yellow” stripes and dead “chickens”.

Rand Paul will win.

Yeah; and his buddy, Mitch McConnell, who he’s working for to defeat Matt Bevin, will be Secretary of State. It’s an “electoral eternity” before 2016, Barnacle. Anything can happen.

Did you forget the sarcasm symbol? LOL. BTW, I like your tagline... Palin/Cruz. Can’t you see the sweet, gorgeous Sarah standing on the Debate Stage beside the old, haggard Hillary?

If the dems run a woman (* I think HilLIARy is one) then we MUST run a woman and the best one is Palin.

I would pay good money to see those debates

I agree. And, can’t you just picture sweet, gorgeous Sarah standing on that Debate Stage next to the old, haggard Hillary?

I like all of the lists posted by entropy12. HOWEVER, when it comes to this category:

"Who will fight Hillary best effectively in debates:"

HANDS DOWN.... NO CONTEST.... That would be the one not listed, Sarah Palin. Just envision the gorgeous, sweet, intelligent Sarah on the Debate Stage standing next to the old, haggard, bitch Hillary. That alone will be worth 5 percentage points in the polls taken after the Debate.
