Sarah Palin is still in the running with GOP voters, even though she hasn’t made up her mind whether she’s even a presidential candidate.
Most of the latest Iowa polls place Palin in third place behind former Bay State Gov. Mitt Romney and U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann.
Depending on which poll you turn to, Romney and Bachmann are neck-and-neck. (The Des Moines Register has Romney with 23 percent to Bachmann’s 22 percent.)
Palin, however, is quietly hovering close behind with about 15 percent of the vote.
While Palin sits on the sidelines, both Bachmann and Romney are making news — and pocketing support — slamming President Obama for how he’s handling the anemic economy.
In fact, Romney even pulls ahead of Obama in a poll asking voters who they’d vote for today.
I can’t fathom why anyone has any interest at all in Romney. What would we ever get from him but the same old ‘progressive conservatism’?

That article is inaccurate!! Refers to the Dem Reg poll as if Palin was in it.
MSM pushing MB in polls even though some MSM is starting to attack her...good cop bad cop routine.
At any rate she gets a good portion of her support from either the msm or Rep est, and really is only a tool for both.
Not a serious candidate, will only at best be a spoiler.
But, but, but, SHE’S NOT RUNNING!

A good chunk of Southern Evangelicals do not pay attention to politics 95% of the time. They vote for whoever looks and sounds most like their church pastor. They are predisposed to regional and gender bigotry. Sad, but true. Perry has already picked up endorsements from a couple of their activist groups.
Well, that explains why Perry has any support at all.
I remain convinced that the only polls that matter are the ones people punch holes at on election day...

I would agree that Bachmann’s base are “true” social/moral conservatives (social/moral issues trump economic ones). However, where in the world did you get the justification for the statement, “These are the people who generally stay home.” DUH....you had better check your facts. The “Value” voters almost see voting as a “religious” duty. They are MORE likely to vote.

I fully agree. I want Sarah in the race as I am glad Bachmann is running. Each bring something to the situation. Personally, I would not be adverse to a Palin/Bachmann ticket.

Then you don’t understand “values voters.” I need you to clarify “lesser of two evils.”
I’m a “moral/social” conservative. The person, in the primary, that will get my vote is the one that best represents my morale values. Currently, that would be Bachmann, Palin, or Santorum. I see no “lesser of two evils” amoung that group. Now, God forbid, if Romney gets the GOP nomination THEN I might, or the first time in my 57 years, not vote in the general election, or vote third party if one has a half-way decent candidate. IF you mean “lesser of two evils” to be Romney verse Obama. Then I agree that many values voters may well stay home.
However, I don’t see that in a primary. I know my own ilk well.
