Conservative blogger Breitbart sees Sarah Palin jumping into White House race
CBS News ^ | June 29, 2011 | Bonney Kapp

Conservative muckraker Andrew Breitbart said he believes former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will throw her hat in the ring for the Republican nomination for president.

"My guess is yes," Breitbart said when asked by CBS News Tuesday if he thought Palin would run.

Breitbart, who is featured prominently in the newly released movie on Palin's political rise, "The Undefeated," attended the film's world premiere in Pella, Iowa, where he was greeted by Palin with a hug.

While he explicitly said he was not endorsing Palin, he did describe himself as a "defender" of the polarizing politician.

"She represents something defiant and fearless and righteous and decent," he explained, and said the two hour pro-Palin movie "represents vindication" from her detractors.

But it's not just vindication from the so-called mainstream media. Breitbart called out "establishment Republicans," accusing them of sitting on the sidelines, "watching [Palin] be devoured because they don't want to see her succeed."

Bachmann is on temporary publicity/novelty high, and Romney is laying low and building, do you really think this period is the defining snapshot of the 2012 race?

Why should she sit it out? If you had a perfectly good shot at making history would you sit it out?

PS, Michele is great, but she ain’t seen nothing yet in terms of a savaging by the msm. Palin is vetted and then some. Michele is a much much longer shot. Yet I wouldn;t suggest she sit it out.

I wish it was. Personally my big fear is that Perry is going to get in the race, steamroll over the other candidates, win the nomination and become the next President of the USA. It will be GW Bush all over again. Mexican Trucks, open borders, amnesty movement, DHS morphing into even more tyranny over us etc etc. Thats what I really think is going to happen. I hope we can get either Michelle Bachmann or Herman Cain to the nomination and then win the Presidency so some real reforms can begin. But either way I don’t see Romney getting the nod.

Think of bachmann as the summer blockbuster hyped and pushed as the must see event of the summer. first weel big blockbuster numbers and then the next weeks ticket sales falls off 75% and then 50% from then and then another 50%.....by dec no one will remember the movie. Bachmann is this years speed racer.

I don’t think its undermining anybody to make the comment that you don’t think they are going to run. Its just an opinion.

All depends.

If you make that comment occasionally, then yes, it's just an opinion.

On the other hand, if you go trolling for threads concerning a single candidate, then get into firefights with that candidate's supporters on every one, then something else is up.

Something else is up with that poster.

My comment? She'd damned well better do it soon before I get disinterested and start investing my voter capital into someone like Michelle Bachmann. If I have to do this, I won't go back. I am tremendously behind Sarah, morally and financially, but I'm tired of being played, frankly. Do it soon, or don't do it at all, Sarah!

The blue blood GOP is equally as afraid of Palin as the socialist left is.

Palin is running and she will win. Take it to the bank. Get used to “President Palin”.

The announcement will be at a strategic time, and that time is not now.

RockinRight is not a Romneybot, He is a Cainiac.

He is for Cain, then Bachmann, then Perry, in that order.

He saidas much with “I like Bachmann and consider her my #2 choice behind Cain...but she’s made a couple really bad gaffes the last few days.”

This was on the thread titled, “Can Bachmann win? Why History may not be the best indicator.”

It is not like he made his choices a secret. He’s being honest. So there is no need to bash him or insult him. He has picked Cain and just feels Palin can’t possibly win. His opinion isn’t unique out there. Lots of people feel Palin can’t win.

FWIW, you know his opinion and you are not going to change it, so I just wouldn’t bother answering the guy because on every Palin thread he is going to say she is “unelectable”. Because he believes it.

Just remember to send him a straw hat to chew on, or a crow or baked humble pie, after President elect Palin wins. In the meantime, it is just our opinion against his. Let him dream of a Cain presidency while he can. Once Palin declares, Cain’s numbers will all like a boulder. Let him have his fantasy for now.

Please. Put down the Sarah-flavored Kool Aid ...

Somebody's chugging down the Kool Aid all right, but it ain't Sarah-flavored. And I ain't mentioning any names, mind you, but his initials is RockinRight!

The only pollster that matters had it at 48-38 Obama over Palin as of 3/13/2011. That was over 3 months ago and Obama couldn’t even get to 50% then. Rasmussen hasn’t conducted a Palin/Obama matchup since then, and I would bet money she has improved against him if anything. The challenger usually gets 80% of undecideds against incumbents. If so then the matchup is really Obama 51-Palin 49. If Sarah runs, she will beat Obama.

Rasmussen Reports 3/10 - 3/13 2000 LV
48 38 Obama +10

If she runs, it will polarize the opposition to the point where they will turn out in droves. We don’t want that.

This cycle is the chance the take the whole enchilada. There are so many Senate seats up for grabs that we cannot afford to let the Dems get their people too fired up.

Sarah cannot win, she is too polarizing. She should figure out who she likes, and throw her full force behind the house and senate races. That is where should would make the most significant impact.

If she’s so “polarizing” wouldn’t her endorsement be a negative thing? See how that “logic” peters out when you think it through?

In local races you can target her effectiveness.

Stop thinking so bluntly. If you can target her efforts, she can help. In a broad sense, there are far too many sheeple that would not be able to get rid of the MSM manufactured perception of her. In the BIG picture, she cannot win. At least this time around.

Breitbard is a self-proclaimed libertarian. Nonetheless, he’s done more for the conservative cause than those who self-identify as such.
