>>Gosh youre considerate to offer such helpful advice.<<
OK, your comment is lost on me. I have said nothing bad about anyone, much less Gov. Palin.
It is always sad when I see a wave of analysis hit the reef of ideology.
Argue my points, not the candidate, please.
“You are wrong. Gov. Palin will run because (argument A with citations, argument B, with citations, et. seq.).”
It amazes me that I get such attacks when I suggest (project) she shall not run.
>>so, when she declares she IS running, what will you label people who said she would not<<
Good predictors. I won’t call them names nor taunt them.
Sure there is a possibility she won’t run, and she has stated this openly. Can you figure out what she is waiting for?
I'm sure the Palin crowd will think of something. Sarah is not to be questioned; it is heresy.
>>so, when she declares she IS running, what will you label people who said she would not?<<
OOps, I didn’t note the negative.
People, like me who predicted she would not run, will be labeled “wrong.”
Predicting something and not having it come to pass is not a bad thing. Prior to barry the zero, almost everyone said hitlery would be the candidate. These people were wrong.
But note I have not said anything bad about those who feel Gov. Palin WILL run. I just disagree.
There was a time when that was OK here...
We do? Says who? Some "I'm voting for the 'Magic Negro'" Cainiac? Is there the slightest chance that you're pushing, repeatedly and aggressively, this "She isn't going to run, dammit!" horse-snot because you want the inexperienced, never been elected to anything pizza boy for president?
"Apolitical" smokescreen notwithstanding, c'mon... tell the truth now...
;^)
OTOH 60% negatives with independents is a somewhat lethal number. Obama never had that.
I’ll argue what I choose to argue, thank you.
I believe you seem rather more determined in your arguments, than simply one motivated by an intellectual debate.
Frankly you seem to be advocating actively and with an untoward amount of determination, as a termite.
If that isn’t too oblique a reference.
>Thats why Palin wont win - the media and the left will just make up some more crazy claims about her, and the intellectually lazy will stay home or vote for an empty suit with an empty slogan that will bankrupt the country.
??? Please tell me why you think that this will be one degree different with any other conservative candidate put forth?
Get used to it & grow a spine because thats what is going to happen to any Conservative challenger to Hussein.
And please, can people spare us the obligatory “Krauthammer is a very intelligent person...yada...yada.”
The man is an elitist imbecile!
Whats even more pathetic than Krauthammers words, is far too many people drink this idiots kool-aid concerning Palin. Sarah has more guts, more brains, and more balls than any of these inside-the-beltway RINO POS will ever have!
>There was a time when that was OK here...
It still is.
>>Sure there is a possibility she wont run, and she has stated this openly. Can you figure out what she is waiting for?<<
OK, NOW I will give some people reason to smack me around.
I think Gov. Palin enjoys messing with the press. With good reason. They overtly tried to hurt her and her family and deserve a good whippin’ in response. If I could wrap them around my finger as she has, I would rap their heads against their media bus’ windows regularly and repeatedly.
But if you stand back and look at the larger picture and put her Bus run into the mosaic, it looks askance. This isn’t someone currying favor, it is someone wanting to get the people on her side on her side. The same is true for the movie.
And if she runs, I will be happy to show up to any and all Gov. Palin threads and say my prediction was wrong. because I find no shame in it.
While I can appreciate what you're saying, unless you want to be here all night, I'd probably drop it. Palin supporters have a FR action network that alerts them whenever a poster doesn't tow the line and agree that Palin has the IQ of W.F. Buckley and the policy knowledge of Reagan. They literally will not stop, and "rumpmunch" is only the first of many names you can look forward to.
I disagree, at least with regard to Will. He had a pretty prescient article on Obama in Dec. 2006.
I, too, have my doubts about Palin. Although I fully understand why she’s so popular with many conservatives, I don’t get the slavish devotion that reflexively and defensively papers over her weak points. I struggle to find the precise way to describe what I see in her. What it is that bothers me about her. The best, closest way to describe it is that Palin seems very shallow to me. It isn’t her political views, which I share. It’s a lack of substance, like if you scratch the surface of her you would find nothing underneath. I don’t know any other way to describe what I intuit about Sarah Palin. Would that it were not so, because she does have other gifts. Sigh.
Earlier on, I was one of the crowd that, although I liked Sarah, thought her “negatives” would hurt her.
I haved changed my mind. I don’t think we should even consider that. The voters of the GOP should pick the candidate they think best represents them, and not just one they think can win. Forget about negatives. If the majority of GOP voters what Sarah, then she should be the candidate, and I will support her.
I what my party, the GOP, to pick the candidate that BEST represents the vast majority of the voters. I think this may be Sarah Palin...there are some others getting less attention. Whatever, I want my party to get its choice....not have some guys in a smoke filled room pick the candidate.
By chosing someone that BEST represents the GOP, we are selling the REAL GOP. I think if people see the REAL GOP they will vote for it over the current POTUS.
In summary, I would rather chance losing with a REAL candidate than have a candidate picked (like McCain or Romney) that really don’t reflect major GOP values. Personally, I think our values are our best selling point...and to compromize on them is a form of suicide.
Whatever, I won’t bring up “negatives” anymore, because I don’t think they are a valid criteria for chosing a candidate.
I think that if I had the Republican nomination next year, I would win the presidency.
High negatives.....let her campaign, show the documentary, and let her debate...the voters will decide
Will doesn't give a shit as long as he gets paid and has an invite to the latest dinner party in Georgetown. Rat-slut Kokie Roberts makes sure her servants are well cared for.
