I, too, have my doubts about Palin. Although I fully understand why she’s so popular with many conservatives, I don’t get the slavish devotion that reflexively and defensively papers over her weak points. I struggle to find the precise way to describe what I see in her. What it is that bothers me about her. The best, closest way to describe it is that Palin seems very shallow to me. It isn’t her political views, which I share. It’s a lack of substance, like if you scratch the surface of her you would find nothing underneath. I don’t know any other way to describe what I intuit about Sarah Palin. Would that it were not so, because she does have other gifts. Sigh.

You must live in an alternate universe.
Few people are as deep and wide as Palin. What doesn’t she do? - Nothing!
There isn’t a subject that you can offer where she won’t wrap you around the nearest tree.
We face the most perilous tmes our country has ever faced with huge national debt, a crisis as bad as the Civil War or the Great Depression, and I think Sarah Palin can lead us through this dangerous time better than anyone else. If anyone else better shows up I will be thankful to welcome him or her.
Someone has to ask...what are the data points you use? What knowledge do you have that allows you to conclude that?
